Selecting random is not trust worthy.

So we all know how random worked, how we loved it. You'd be in, lets say a race. Finish race, vote random in next job screen, you was taken to a random race, often a populated lobby if you had the Remain Host option turned off.

 

Well, it's screwing up for me again. When I click random now the game doesn't search for a populated race lobby, it instead takes me into Contact Missions.

 

This is a huge step backward for what was formerly a great system. Before you could find a full 16 player race in 3 or 4 sessions by joining random session as it kept looking for populated sessions.

 

Now your stuck trying to manually invite which is far less effective, as joining random will likely put you in a Contact Mission.

 

I'm on PS3. This seemed to be fixed fixed for a while but is anybody having this again?

I don't leave free mode very often but I tried to do some racing recently and this was the most annoying thing ever. If I'm racing and I select 'Random', why the f*ck would I want to play death matches and LTS or some sh*t. I remember hating the lobby format in GTA IV but it was far better than this. And my vote for the next job never seems to count either.

 

Where is the remain host option you mentioned???

Random is now sticking me in New lobbies and no longer host. But at least it's reverting aim preference again.

Not sure of the exact PS4 map if your current gen, since Start is replaced by Options. But, on last gen it's

 

Start > Online > Option > Remain Host After Next Job Voting Screen

 

Not sure if I remembered that name exactly right, but it's a long option name near the bottom of the options menu that should resemble that.

I press Random (after a solo mission) > get in a new lobby > No host anymore > difficult set on easy (sometimes normal) > other player their ranks between 4 and 40 > Me: f*ck MY LIFE, I'm outta here!
