Cudwieser
Just surfing the net looking at pretty things (you decide ) and something came to mind. In the automotive world there are decades of ideas and styles that either influenced decades to come or were so far beyond the pale it took years for others to see the method in the madness. Some ideas still haven't been realized and some were just insane. What I am going to do and want others to do is post pictures of concept cars (www.conceptcarz.com is a useful source for pics and details) that existed prior to 1995 and discuss how close they came to current knowledge and design and idea and designs that succeeded the concept. Equally if you want to through an odd ball design in for contrast (and possible derision feel free). Finally if there is a particular concept (be it a car or part of a car) that you want to discuss, feel free. As the title suggest. What we thought and what we know. To start. I came across this car in a book I own and I have to say I am impressed with how designs have followed in a similar vein yet I would dare anyone to tell me the maker without checking. The car was designed by Zagato in 67 and is as beautiful today as it was then and would look new today. God only wonder what was thought then given cars like this Edited August 1, 2015 by Cudwieser
Moth
I rather have the GTO to be honest. The Zagato looks like ass if you ask me. Niko Montana, *MURDOC* and epoxi 3 Formerly known as The General
Cudwieser
Fair enough. As popular as the GTO is I find it looks dull (just me). I find the Lancia Flavia (Zagato) above more striking given it's age and given cars would take the next 10 to 20 years to follow in a similar vein. Are there any old concepts that impressed or annoyed you ?
Moth
Like I said in the other topic, The Chrysler Norseman Never seen in public cause the ship it was on, sank. Oh and when it comes to concept cars, we got a topic for that. http://gtaforums.com/topic/746938-coolnot-so-cool-concept-cars/page-1 Formerly known as The General
