OK, I'm going to try moving this discussion into the realm of serious discourse, in the context of female AI in art and media. EDIT: Just to clarify, this post is about artificial female characters created for media (movies, video games, etc) that use real voice actors, not just robots or video game AI, but scripted characters as well.

There are a couple of points to make:

First, how is this (virtual amorous feelings for a video game character) any different than the key plot of these recent movies (such as “Her” "Simone" and “Ex Machina” for example) about female AI and fembots?

Bottom line, it's really the art world that has a weird obsession with female bots, not we innocent gamers who are taken in by their fembot wiles.

Second, part of the appeal of this character (or any video game character) is not simply the video game avatar representation or the script, but the voice acting. As we know from all of our video games, the voices are still human even though the avatars are synthetic.

This is explored deeply in the science fiction book "The Diamond Age" by Neal Stephenson, where a future tutorial ebook is created, an interactive book called "The Young Lady's Illustrated Primer" that is full of AI and nanotech, but the lead character of the ebook, Miranda, is voiced by an actual female actor, because even in the future, voice synthesis is not good enough.

I hate twilight with a passion. No I was not disappointed that things didn't go as plan since I didn't watch those awful movies. I really couldn't careless Niko and Agent Daniels wasn't meant to be. f*ck Bella and Jacob. I am not even a vampire boy just get that out the way. I just don't like backstabbers in general.
