then most likely around 5am EST just like every other update.

No bud. Have you been around during past "Holiday" releases? The DLCs release around 5 am eastern time due to that is when Sony/Xbox release the updates. We already have the Halloween update. We downloaded it with the Lowrider DLC. Rockstar set a specific time for the Halloween update to activate. Just like in the past this usually happens around midnight"ish". Is it Eastern midnight or pacific midnight is the only question.

Seems like a fairly reasonable observation...But from what I remember, the games tunables are updated during the night (2am EST or PST maybe?) I could be wrong.

No you shouldnt. Only about 7:30 here on east coast us.

 

They usually drop at 5-7 am here, and the one update that dropped at midnight before was using this timezone.

 

Stay hyped though! 3 updates in one month!

Three updates in one month? Freeroam events was last month, only Lowriders and Halloween are this month. Unless there's yet another coming that I've missed out on?.

Finished already? Damn! They screwed it up straight away with Halo 4.

 

On topic: Halloween!

 

You see, I didn't mind Halo 4, multiplayer was fun, and the campaign was bearable. I was halfway through Halo 5 thinking "where the f*ck is this story going." And it just got worse and worse. It's like the terminator franchise now, it gets worse and worse, but as long as its got halo in the title, people are going to buy it.

 

EDIT: Oh, and Halo was relevant, at least imo, until after #2 that game was epic and NOT A STEAMING PILE OF UNGGOY sh*t!

 

On topic: I hope it drops tonight or by 5 am because I literally have f*ck all to do, see above as per why.

Not since 2001.

 

 

Halo 3 was a massive critical and commercial success, and dominated XBox Live for two years. You might not have liked the game but there is no measurement by which it was not "relevant." That was 2007-2009.

 

Halo Reach was the first real sign of cracks in the armor, and Halo 4 was a complete belly flop.

You see, I didn't mind Halo 4, multiplayer was fun, and the campaign was bearable. I was halfway through Halo 5 thinking "where the f*ck is this story going." And it just got worse and worse. It's like the terminator franchise now, it gets worse and worse, but as long as its got halo in the title, people are going to buy it.

 

 

 

To be fair, lots of people really buy it for the multiplayer, so the success or failure of those increasingly convoluted single player story lines is beside the point. Not hard to understand when the majority play campaign for 6-10 hours, then proceed to spend ten or twenty times as much time (if not longer) in team slayer playlists.

 

Unfortunately, Halo 4 multiplayer was part of the aforementioned belly flop. Its mechanics were confused (too much keeping up with the Joneses, not enough attention paid to making a game that was fundamentally Halo and internally consistent); and the online population they were chasing - all those people they wanted to siphon off from CoD - abandoned the game within a month of launch. The game was a letdown to both its hardcore fans AND the new audience they wanted to woo.
