Saving up for a rubbish car

I recently saved up the best part of a million GTA dollars to buy a car I thought looked cool.

When I got it and did it up, I found it was utter rubbish.

Anyone else done this.

It really grinds my gears.

Particularly as it took me 4 weeks of missions (mainly that rooftop rumble one over and over again) to get the dough.

Who else has spent money only to be bitterly disappointed or even really surprised at how good it was like the day I bought and souped up a Bifta?

Single player or solo races. Watch videos. Try before you buy. Also read threads on here as you learn a lot about the various vehicles.

I don't play single player, perhaps I should.

I just buy on looks. Must be just me that's daft enough to blow all their money on nothing.

It was a green one from the new ones that just got DLC'd. The one in the middle that looks like a pimp-mobile.

Some are also Online exclusives too (which I hate, and I wish they'd come to single-player!), so trying out in single-player first isn't always an option.

In relation to the original question, I haven't bought any vehicle I didn't want to own.

I think I have about four in my garage right now:

- Dominator (primary car; I prefer the V8 rumble to the V12/W16 high pitch nonsense)

- Insurgent (unarmed; perfect as a battering ram!)

- Jester (I've always liked the NSX in real life, and it's reasonably priced for the performance, I guess)

- Guardian (I probably don't need this anymore)

My first car was a Stanier, but then I've always liked the Crown Victoria as well. It's also pretty cheap for a full-size car in-game. Perfect if you want to get a team of four around the map. It can make for a good sleeper too, if you have the money (and you've done enough races).

-Been here since 2008

-Has a signature that says: Hey N00b you talkin to me?

-Still plays Rooftop Rumble over and over.

-Doesn't test cars out before he buys them. Whether it be in a race or in SP.

Either you're a complete newby to the game and gtaf or you be a trolling?....

OP: why are you still grinding Rooftop Rumble? All contact missions pay about the same now (and it's been that way since last summer) - no need to make the game into a joyless slog.

I'm not grinding rooftop rumble, I just do random jobs and it keeps coming up. It's really irritating.

So you didn't know about about the 2x Heist $$ that's going on it's third week?

Everytime I try and do a Heist I wind up waiting for 45 mins only to be teamed up with a right bunch of losers who die on every attempt. I gave up playing heists long ago.
