How? I'm on PS4 and would love to knock some "highest top speed" challenges out of the park.

With these new races high speed spec has gone completely inaccurate i got 224mph out of a journey lol

I didn't use the transform races, i used an old bookmarked track from old gen i think

I love GTA Online, I play it since it's release on Pc and never get bored. It's crazy.

I share this, got it on PS3 and PS4 and I play it all the time, the game has a lot of things that should be fixed and changed, but it's fun and entertaining to me.

Had to look this thread up after seeing the nonsense going on in another thread that turned into "lets all hate rockstar" thread.

I gotta agree with you. People need to take a step back and be thankful to Rockstar for their support and dedication to this game for years. No other developer dedicates 4+ years to continuously support one game. Rockstar is doing it, and it is definitely well worth it. If GTA Online were to end, some people may be happy initially, but I guarantee within a few months those same people will be bored to tears, craving some new content. Ongoing updates, no matter how un-GTA-like they feel, keep the game engaging, fresh, and unique.

Not trying to start a thread war, but I think the whole Rockstar is shady argument is pretty much nonsense as well. What will the people in the other thread do next? Walk into a Las Vegas casino and proclaim to management that they're too shady for not having clocks and windows?

Someone clearly hasn't heard of ...nearly every major MMO I can think of. Just picking the one I occasionally play, for example (Star Trek Online) - Cryptic's still releasing new updates for that to this day, along with console versions last year (complete with a graphical overhaul), and that game first launched back in February 2010.

Uhhh...I was referring to console games. Sorry if I sounded vague in my previous post.

Well, console games too - Elite Dangerous launched only a year after GTAO, and it's been rolled out for different consoles gradually (XB1 in 2015, then PS4 later), with a long-term plan more like an MMO, even though it's very much not an MMO (it's an old-school space exploration game).

Unrelated, but worth gasping and praising about:

I'm not at all a fan of GTA IV's car design approach - things like the Ruiner haven't aged well, IMO (because once you see that Z31 Nissan 300ZX front end, it's hard not to see it...). Other games struggle with this as well - Watch Dogs is a mixed bag, as is Mafia III, while Mafia II's 'just keep it 99% accurate, and change a few shapes slightly' approach is still the absolute best overall for me (although a lot of GTA San Andreas' cars come close - and GTAO's been getting better this last year, to be fair).

That said, even some of the early GTA V cars (by which I'm talking 'came at launch') still hold up really well - for every 'okay-ish' thing that's only marginally better than GTA IV standards (Blista, Gauntlet), there's something that still holds up as being a logical, cohesive design. The Picador is a great mix of similar-era Chevelle Malibu front and El Camino rear, and likewise, the Phoenix's mix of 2nd-gen GM F-body designs (largely '79 Firebird front, '70 Camaro rear) not only works really nicely as a singular design, but also does so in a way that clearly resembles the 3D-era Phoenix (rather than throwing it out and giving the name to an all-new car - looking at you, GTA IV Infernus and GTAO Jester... :p).

In a way, for all that players really appreciate what R*'s done more recently with things like the Elegy Retro and Cheetah Classic, the humble Phoenix was already doing it - and come to think of it, has done so in every game in which it's appeared. You keep doing you, Phoenix! :^:;)

I gasped and praised DH/GTAO when:

- I found out 1) the Avenger/air MOC has a autopilot mode, and 2) You can enter the rear hold to use the canon turrets while on autopilot, even in missions, VIP AND FR work. Best air vehicle next to the Hunter and Nokota IMO. The model is insanely detailed and accurate, down to the glowing propeller tips and unique cockpit.

- Doomsday Heist: the content, theme, Chiliad/mural connection, engaging and entertaining story (pretty funny too), and the Jetpack... we actually have a JETPACK now.

- The second batch of MkII guns. Great selections, great new audio files for guns sounds, all around improvements for the most part. The Marksman MkII with lock on and The MkII Pump Shotgun with all it's unique special ammo manage to be game changers without becoming too OP. That Revolver MkII...one shots every NPC and can headshot a player that appears as a dot on the horizon (Deluxo with no weapons upgrades + Revolver MKII are an insane combo if your good with aiming the Revolver).

- Blonded. And here I thought GTAO/V was done adding music, and by extension, done introducing me to even modern as well classic good tunes i was unawares of. Love that Rundgren song and the Marvin Gaye track as well as all the Frank Ocean and Experimental stuff. Such a neat surprise.

- Good weaponized vehicles. Never thought I'd say this, but these are actually useful if not downright practical choices, no mad max stuff thank gosh. Best batch of novelty/"whacky" vehicles yet. Love the Avenger, Akula, Deluxo and Stromberg.

- More great classics cars, off roaders, muscles and sports cars in this DLC for the trad. cars. That Fair Lady, the Bronco, Sentinel Classic, GT500 and new Comets are the best GTA Christmas gifts yet. Once again, killer models IMO, whoever has been on vehicle design the last year or two is very talented at designing and amalgamating multiple distinct vehicles into one usually very pleasing package if they're actually trying.

- There's more, but I'm sick of typing. Even after the hype has died down, this may be the best DLC IMO..

- Oh yah, f*ckin functional scuba gear, catsuit and 20 more outfit slots. The additional outfit slots rank pretty high on my fave features of Doomsday Heist.

And I got given 200K out of nowhere when I logged on earlier too.

Plus I finally got to get started on my heists, so made more money, and finally started unlocking trade prices for stuff.

When Lester says in the finale that, "this has been horrific, really really horrific."

Perfect choice of words for my first finale finale playthrough.

(Second run through, not so bad. That first one was.a.bitch.

Yellow Dog with Cone

Started a vehicle source mission, got the offshore mission but it got destroyed instantly.

Can't complain because I hate that mission, thanks R*!

Maybe the quality of updates are kind of low now, but Rockstar's artwork are still hilarious.

I wish just for one day that R* locked everyone weapons including NPC's to just Snowballs. No Homing Launchers, no Assault Shotguns, no MKII weapons etc just Snowballs.

Three Snowballs kills you and a Snowball to the face does double damage.

When some tryhard in a chrome Hydra tries blowing up your goods and crashes, then proceeds to be raped and gang banged by other randoms at the crash site.

When someone seriously tries you while doing the bunker resupply mission where you have to steal rail guns.

When you get the bag drop off mission for your coke, your meth and your counterfeit cash all in a row.

When everyone leaves and you're in a public session alone.

When several enter that empty session and don't try to kill you, instead try to make money the same as you, and messages you saying "Peace, i'm just trying to get paid" so you start working together and make friends.

When you complete a flawless full bunker sale for 1 million.

When you upgrade your shotgun and load it with exploding shells.

Seeing "I The Spook I Killed Avon Hertz"

And this whole DLC, really. I didn't know how I was gonna feel about a flying car, and an underwater car, but they're both fun. I'm loving the Avenger too. The jetpack that everyone wanted is finally here. The Khanjali tank is sexy. Some of the missions were kind of frustrating, but that was to be expected. The mount chiliad mission really forces you to be coordinated and employ teamwork.

My only complaints? Some of the NPC enemies have way too much health. Empty an entire clip into their face and they get back up.

And Lester. He talks far too much during this DLC, I wish there was an option to turn him off.

Heh, nice, your savage is super similar to mine! Except mine's chrome on the bottom...

When in real life you hear a song on your car radio that's also in the game.

That's easy to do with self radio ;)

Also helo fellow pon

Note that there's no smoke coming from this helicopter.

My years of b*tching about its armour were clearly worth it. Anyone who tried to shut down said b*tching must now bask in my brilliance.

When I sit in my dominator at the lights. Thinking back to day 1. Becoming a millionaire, becoming a billionaire, owning everything. Then waking up back at the lights in my dominator realising i only have 73000 in the bank. But billions in experiences and fun knowing I'm happiest in a standard musclecar with enough change for ammo.

Gta's a b*tch 😁

Be me, flying around in populated lobby, bounty hunting for something to do. Notice afk player near Micheals mansion recieving 9k bounty. Awww yisss! Start flying over to him. On way over notice tryhard scrub on oppressor making his way towards my target.... no tho! Both me and tryhard nearing target, within blocks. Decide to take a gamble and bail outta aircraft. Pull parachute and pull out revolver mk.2 with hp rounds. Tryhard about to blast afk after dismounting flying bike. Swoop down near target and fire one shot into afk, killing him. Claim 9k bounty and swoop away, dodging tryhard rifle bullets. *Triggered* send text message through phone to tryhard saying haha too slow. Tryhard spergs out, starts coming after me. Equip tryhard helmet in anticipation of incoming war. Tryhard pulls out usually stops, but i counter with baiting him into cqb, no wiggle for zee today plz. End up 15-8 in battle before he gives up and we go our seperate ways. 8 rpg kills may i add. Remove tryard gear and go back to bounty hunting in Akula, earning close to 100k by the time i get off. Time well wasted :D

A little minor thing but the other day I was doing a prep Intel mission for doomsday heist act 2 and for the first time in4 years of playing I see a female baller as an enemy NPC I know they spawn on grove street from time to time but to actually fight one added a new angle to the game. The game needs more female enemynpcs besides vagos and professionals.

I give Rockstar a lot of S**t for the poor choices they make in this game. And while it's often written while angry i always hope it's taken as constructive criticism especially as i often have so many people agree with me.

But one thing they got right was the christmas update. The snow all over the world was both fun and a challenge to drive in. The free gifts aren't game breaking and in some cases just a bit of fun (fireworks launcher)

Thank you Rockstar for a mostly enjoyable couple of days.
