[7/20/2015] Patch 393.4

Recommended Posts

raburs

Hey,

I just downloaded a new update (393.4)

Its around 400MB.

Just a performance patch for GTAO.

GTAOnline version is 1.28.1

Let me know if there are any significant changes.

I can notice a little better performance. But maybe i'm wrong.

And ScriptHookV has been updated

No update on Steam for me as of yet.

It is normal that ScriptHook is broken, it always will be. The natives are the question.

Perhaps it might be their quick fix for the performance.

Yeah, performance seems to have increased significantly.

I will report back with a more accurate observation.

No update for me yet (non Steam)

Do the minigun test, start shooting and see your frame rate.

Only a 0.2 increase, has to be very minor. Don't believe they took away the lag.

Edit: What? SteamDB hasn't even updated the public build, how are you getting an update? Nvm, RGSC.

393.2 to 393.4, the patch version. It's a minor update.

There is not much improvement in performance.

btw, i have RGSC version.

@Spider-Vice yes, it most probably a minor update. It broke ScriptHookV though, just like always.

Stuff

It isn't easy to verify this perfectly as a lot of stuff has to be taken into account.

So far he said what he felt it was like.

Yes, it is better than 393.2

But still nowhere near the first patch.

I can't do a benchmark between an earlier patch and this new one.

Texture pop ins are still persistent

Welp looks like im staying on 1.27 if performance still is suffering. I cant go back to the stuttery hell hole that is 1.28.

EXE's a fair bit smaller, so it's safe to say the DRM is back to the way it was in 372 (which was somewhat unoptimized due to native function obfuscation but didn't obfuscate other game functions). By the way, here's a link redirecting to R* for anyone who cares.

... and natives didn't even change, as expected for such a minor update. Why the reference script hook doesn't work is beyond me, however... my VishCompat layer works fine.

Looks like I wont bother and will stick with 335, Online forces players to act like douchbags even when they play it straight and it's a very repetitive grind fest anyway so not missing much.

Maybe if R* actually release content like more missions and not just crappy skins I might patch up.

Well done R*, you split the player base.

Steam has the update now. You probably have to restart Steam, or just try to play GTA V and it will update it.

I just tried to launch V, and Steam began to download an update for it - 392.7MB.
