You sure you don't have over 60 FPS? That's when bikes get slidey. TLAD only made it harder to fall off a bike.

Nah, I'm playing on console, (XB1), it should be capped to 30, right?

I think I read about it going over 30, but if they don't have a 60 cap setup, then they've f*cked up.

i’ve watched on youtube. even xbox one x can’t hold it at 60fps for long so they haven’t capped it. you can watch it on youtube. original xbox one won’t go near 60fps

Save games for GTA IV, TLAD and TBOGT share the same 12 slots even though my installations of GTA IV and EFLC are separate. I have to move my save files again to make room for my new GTA IV playthrough.

No, you don't ;) you can change it in the options to be permanent, like crouching or even aiming.

niko calls people after missions. it should have been optional. i don’t like missing the call because of dumb traffic ai or don’t like walking slowly when a load of cops coming after me.

I don't see the point in making them optional. I agree it can be sometimes annoying when you're talking on the phone and you get hit by a car or whatever, but when you think about the fact Niko's a hired gun the reason he calls most of the time is to confirm the job he was asked to do has been completed because that's pretty much what his employers expect him to do. Not to mention there are certain post mission phone calls that are quite important to the story.

Without context it would make things feel fragmented IMO.

I usually just make sure I'm in a safe place after a mission ready for a call, but it does bother me that they did it in missions where you don't automatically lose your wanted level (eg Late Checkout), extremely dumb since trying to escape police who are shooting at you and talking on the phone don't exactly go together.

There's a bit of an issue with phone calls getting interrupted in general. I feel like they should've used some different buttons so that it wasn't so easy to accidentally hang up on someone when they call you at the moment you're doing something else that uses the hang up button, and made it so being gently bumped or shot didn't cause it to hang up (could either simply carry on, just pause a moment, or if it did hang up there could be an option to call back or for them to call you back a minute later as alternatives to missing the call). I like the post mission calls but the call system itself could be better.

I say it's not. Cab company could still exist with someone other than Roman running it and sometimes deceased people's facebook pages get kept as a memorial and friends still wish them a happy birthday on there. Bit of a stretch but I won't accept both endings not being canon.

the fact niko pushes people without our control. i understand we can bump into people if we are fast but niko pushes them while walking even though he doesn’t need to, he can just walk by and pass away.

I think it's just meant to be realistic that it goes from nothing to putting his hands up for safety to a shove motion depending on how hard he walks/runs into someone. It isn't treated as a shove/attack by the game (doesn't start a fight, make them run away or get the cops on you the way pushing the button to shove does), it's treated the same as if you walked into them without his hands going up (the ped is just annoyed to be walked into, Niko says sorry or get out the way depending on his mood). Maybe they shouldn't have made the biggest "shove" move he does look so big but I don't think it actually pushes them any more than if he'd just walked into them with his hands down, you have to push the button for that.

I honestly don't like how Niko flies out of his windscreen after almost pretty much every tiny bump. At first I didn't really mind it or even notice it, but now coming back to it makes it really annoying for me. But, I honestly feel both IV and V at fault for this, while in IV, it happens more often but doesn't kill you instantly, but in V, it happens less but sometimes kill you instantly. V did this more realistically though IMO.

I also don't like how when you're on your phone and if you get shot or even touched, Niko automatically puts back his phone, which sorta makes sense I guess, but it's very annoying if you're trying to put in a cheat while the cops are on you.

Windshield ejections are a bit too common, but I still prefer how they are handled in GTA IV over V.

Trevor's power doesn't always help when occasionally you just die, well, instantly. But this isn't a thread where I complain about GTA V.

I agree with this. The phone cheat menu idea is cool but it could have been executed better. I mostly play on PC and I find typing "leavemealone" or "aezakmi" or whatever easier.

i know, at very very high speeds you get wasted as soon as your vehicle touchs something but if you fly off, sometimes you’ll get wasted only when you hit the ground so at that part you can save yourself if you’re trevor.

In V it can be annoying because it seems to be totally random when you fly out, you can hit stuff really hard and it doesn't happen or barely hit something and it does (and then it isn't nearly as entertaining as in IV because physics aren't as good, you usually just fall a short distance and die). In IV it probably should've been set so that you had to hit stuff a bit harder for it to happen, but from playing both a lot I feel like you can predict when it's going to happen a lot more easily and therefore avoid it more easily (or make it happen on purpose more easily if like me you're into that 😛). Also despite the unrealisticness I love how you can make other people fly out of their windscreen if you hit their car hard in IV lol. Tbh I don't mind it that much in either game though because it still amuses me when it happens.

ahh again, cover in this game is absolute trash, even worse than 5’s driving physics. i don’t give a damn if it’s the first game to have that or not, it is trash, kills the shootouts in many ways. the least smooth thing i’ve ever seen to this day.

I've been replaying all 3 episodes and yeah, the cover system is so clunky. Once you get into cover, the game kinda pulls your aim/crosshair to where you are for a few seconds before being able to aim freely. Also it doesn't detect where I want to get into cover very well. I was playing Russian Revolution and I wanted to take cover on the large pillars, yet the game puts me into cover on the wrong side of the pillar, where I'm completely exposed to the enemy. Exiting said side of the pillar and into the side I actually wanted to wasn't a fast nor responsive task otherwise. I always find myself simply aiming, and jiggling in and out of covers manually, instead of using the cover system this game provided. This is the one thing that MP3/V definitely improved upon.

pigeons....those goddamn pigeons collectables. Doesn't help that the reward for it isn't even worth it because you only get a bugged helicopter spawn.

@Gummy  @Max.pain Yeah, the cover system in IV kinda blows compared to RDR2 and V. There's multiple times where Niko just take cover at the wrong corner and I have to get up AGAIN just to go to the correct corner whereas GTA V and RDR2, I can just transition to the corner I MEANT to take cover in.

not only that, it also takes niko 3 seconds to aim normal after getting out of cover and camera speed isn’t fast enough to move to the right direction.

i don’t know much about rdr2’s but max payne 3’s cover is at least as good as gta5’s or maybe even better, almost every single move in that game involves a smooth quick movement that makes cover option really amazing.

I've never been a huge fan of the Radio stations. I found them to be very unmemorable, but maybe that's just me. There is definitely good songs, but if you asked me what my favourite station was I'd probably not know what to say. Where as with the 3D era games I'm pretty quick to say stuff like Emotion, Flash FM, Rise FM, K-DST etc.

Yeah, well - whenever I play through Grand Theft Auto IV's story I always listen to Radio Stations in a certain order, which is: Radio Vladivostok FM (Esperanto) (Broker Missions) ➡️ Radio Broker (Esperanto) (Broker Missions) ➡️ Liberty City Rock Radio (Esperanto) (Bohan Missions)➡️  The Vibe and K109 (Presidente) (Algonquin / Alderney Missions).

This really helps to appreciate these Radio Stations more, as they can reflect the general story progression. And when I just drive around, I listen to The Journey. I don't listen to anything else, as I don't really care about other Radio Stations.

That's what really makes me mad - that there is no way to buy a personal vehicle for Niko - that's why I always use same cars (Esperanto / Presidente and a Taxi) and change them when the story progresses.

(I know most players won't even bother)

I don't do it as strictly as that but I do also enjoy listening to radio stations and driving cars that reflect the area I'm in and part of the story I'm in etc. Can't beat driving a Blista Compact in Hove Beach listening to Vladivostok, or a nice distinguished car with JNR on while doing some missions for the mob in Algonquin. Or some beat up car in Bohan with a rap station on. Reggae while hanging out with Little Jakob, classic rap with Dwayne, dance with Brucie etc. Adds to the atmosphere of the game.

Yes, that way you don't really care that there are no major hits in Radio Stations.

The cover system in MP3, GTA V (next-gen), and RDR 1 and 2 takes you were the camera is looking at while GTA IV takes you to where your character is facing which is... ehhh

Anyways I like how npcs can lose their hat but I DON'T like how the player can lose their hat from ragdolling. If your going to do that, at least let me pick it back up like RDR2
