Where would you set up a zombie survivor camp?

If I was in LS, i'd set up possibly on the outskirts, just outside the oil fields.

If I was in BC i'd set up on the coast, with access to a boat or something incase of a horde attack.

I'll bring a tank. Let's have the talk.

Kinda expected you. Nobody has to die, ok? Also, relevant.

Hmm I would say somewhere in the mountains. You can fish in the river nin Lago Zancudo, hunt in the forests. You'll also have a sniper rifle to pick off the zombies from afar, they wouldn't know what hit'em. Fresh ammo should be a bit tough, but I guess the soldiers at Fort Zancudo would be helpful in difficult times.

Look at this sh*t. Seriously, just look at bullsh*t, look what GTA has turned into. From stupid FIB, terrorist plots, unfunny American culture parodies and now this - zombie survivor camps ? Now GTA is all about f*cking generic, boring zombies that really should have nothing to do with the series in the damn first place.

That's right Rockstar follow fashion with bullsh*t trends and tarnish your great reputation even further.

Hey everyone is having fun with this thread, I guess I'll be an a-hole and ruin it

While i don't have any specific places in mind, I'm sure as hell that you shouldn't be in Los Santos when the outbreak begins.

Major cities will belong to the dead. Your best chance of survival is at a low populated area. I assume that Sandy Shores or Grapeseed are much safer than LS.

Remember Atlanta in TWD? And we'll also get to see what happens to Las Angeles in FTWD.

I agree. Ls would be overrun so your safezones would have to be up north. But most missions would take place in the city. Rescue survivors, supply runs etc. Also the sewer system would work, from the metro station under construction to the ls river. Only two entrances would be easy to barricade and defend

I'd set it up in the Casino, there's no way anyone will be able to get in there.

I'll put in the Mission Row Police Station where the cops with they're great accuracy can kill the zombies and there's an armoury in the back too with guns if you need to defend yourself.

To the people saying the prison,do you really think that's the best idea?

I mean, think about it. Similar to what I said before about Fort Zancudo, the prison would either be overun by zombies or heavily guarded by its guards (Since its GTA,I doubt the guards would help anyone other than themselves),or the prisoners could take over.

Its best to go to a place that is either abandoned or has very little people inhabiting. That train idea sounds pretty good too.

The north-western beaches, it will be much easier to detect and annihilate any hostile individuals when you're stationed on an isolated place.

I'd dig a hole in the sand just big enough for my head and bury it there.

My first choice would probably be the lumber yard it's got building materials for building a defensive perimeter and new structures it's in the wilderness so so you can get just about all the food, water and medicine you need but if you can't find it there you're still a short distance from paleto bay so you can stock up on things you can't find in the mountains ammo, fuel etc... there's also a water tower and numerous generators and even rail road tracks if by some chance you ever find or need a train. Second would be Cape Catfish its in the mountains so you can get almost all the supplies you need it's close to the highway and grapeseed so can get things you can't find in the wild theres plenty of room to farm and hunt your also in a bay so you can fish there's a few boats that you can repair in the nearby garages and plenty of small islands you can go to if needed. Third would probably be stab city (lost mc trailer park) you're close to sandy shores, the highway and mountains for supplies theres two giant water tanks near by for water a bay you can fish in and you'll have an army of bikers at your disposal grab a couple water crafts in case you need to get some where or leave the base it'd a pretty decent hidout. I think a "Undead nightmare " add on might be cool but for right now gta v is still a pretty good game.

I was here. Who knows where the thread with the mention of improvements for GTA V is at?

They need to add more pay-n-sprays and ammunations(or just replace the ammuinations with pawn shops and place one every 20 meteres like a real city) wtf 4!!!(or so) ammunations. Pisses me off.

Need more vehicle mods.

There are a ton of great locations to choose from. Fort Zancudo is a no-brainer, of course.

The Altruist Camp would be a preferable location: it's isolated, away from heavy threats. Also in the wilderness, so access to food and water is ample.

The tramway station atop Mount Chiliad is also a safe spot, but access to food and water would be limited; unless one can make use of the cableway to make convenient supply runs to Paleto Bay.

The small island with the shack, North of Chumash, would be a decent hideaway, provided one has access to a boat. A Dinghy would be nice to make quick trips between the island and mainland - light watercraft, room for four, can easily be docked on beaches.

You should have said what type of zombies. Fast running zombies from world war z or those slow twitchy zombies.

But in anycase, the altruist camp on the mountain would be my spot. Id have snipers taking turns guarding from inside. To try and have a different answer than everyone else, id say the lost clubhouse in LS since you could just close the gate or any project building in chaimberlain hills since they only have 2 entrances. As long as you have a vantage point and the weaponry, youre good.

Nah, you wouldn't want to camp out in the city. Zombies would be in hordes there, and odds are other survivors would have no problem killing you for their own gain.

Small town or wilderness would be a safer bet. I can see Grapeseed being barricaded similar to Woodbury from The Walking Dead show: the town is sheltered from Mount Chiliad on one side, tons of ambient farmlands on another, and then there's the Alamo Sea, which serves as a natural massive barrier south of the town.

Los Santos would be quarantined for sure.

I'd probably choose that hippie camp, or whatever it's called, on the outskirts of Paleto Bay along the highway.

But everybody will be thinking that city is unsafe, wouldn't they? So when everyone leaves, it'll be safe.

If anything the worst apartment in the game (Vespucci/Little Seoul, $80,000) could be the best. Think about it, it's close to tons of pharmacies, a gun store and a gas station, there's a garage you can put stuff in. Nobody's living there, it's small and easy to barricade, a good snipers nest, it's got actual storage and it's a short walk from a Police Station. It's perfect.

I'm sure Fear The Walking Dead will give us a good idea of what a Zombie Apocalypse would be like in LS, seeing as it's set in LA.

Perhaps for the first few days, i'd hold out in a building or something. Then move out of the city, possibly leave Southern San Andreas entirely by boat.

Hell, you'll probably be able to escape by driving a heavily armoured Kurmuma straight to the airport and then flying out in a plane.

Because it's an island (thank god for noncanon gameplay restrictions) you can just fly to Vice City or whatever-the-f*ck while the zombies can't swim.

I expect LS to be a lot different in survival means than LA.

Fear the Walking Dead looks cool, but I doubt it'll capture the wackiness of a V apocalypse.

The Mission Row Police Station would be great if you barricade the roof entrance. The armory would supply the group with equipment and weapons. Maybe not the best, but not the worst spot.

I still think the lost club house would be good. If you close the gates , who can get in ? And if anyone or anything did get close , you can snipe them from the roof. And even though its in the city, that area isnt as populated as the rest of south ls

Martin's fuente blanca ranch. Build some walls around it and done, you can survive the apocalypse comfortably.
