dyspoid
I have never fancied the idea of a zombie based GTA, but these replies are slowly infecting me. It could actually be really cool. Perhaps a PC mod would be able to implement these ideas - spawn zombies and give us the ability to place objects to create fences. Make some kind of health depletion script so we need to source food periodically and we are good. Not that I have a capable PC or the money to acquire one, but still... The map is a source of contention. Many complain about its size. But all we really need are reasons to utilize it. Come to think of it, it could be a hella fun online dlc? cybert

There are already some very good zombie mods here and there, and there's one trainer where you can place custom objects (eg. https://www.gta5-mods.com/maps/mega-ramp-objects-ini),so everything is possible on PC nowadays R* won't ever do anything like that on their servers, but as soon as fivem is finished people can make their own online apocalypse worlds. cybert
Just had a look at the casino racetrack. Multiple fences all around with good lighting, and enough room, water, small buildings and ready facilities (one heli inside, one just outside) for a small group, and a blockable access tunnel. Dangerous and sad
Look at this sh*t. Seriously, just look at bullsh*t, look what GTA has turned into. From stupid FIB, terrorist plots, unfunny American culture parodies and now this - zombie survivor camps ? Now GTA is all about f*cking generic, boring zombies that really should have nothing to do with the series in the damn first place. That's right Rockstar follow fashion with bullsh*t trends and tarnish your great reputation even further. you have just proved to us all how much of a self-centred c*nt you are. Why did you bother commenting if it was boring. If I find something boring I don't give IT any interest and attention at all. This thread is meant to be something fun for those who like the concept of zombies in gta v- not people who don't like the concept of zombies Slam_Jones

Algonquin Assassin
I would set up a zombie survivor camp inside a Burger Shot. I mean it's not like the zombies will be able to get inside will they? Son of Zeus
I would set up a zombie survivor camp inside a Burger Shot. I mean it's not like the zombies will be able to get inside will they? Not for a while, but YOU won't be able to get out because a horde would've surrounded it from outside. The burgers will run out and you'll have the option of either dying a slow death inside or going out and becoming one of 'em. slimeball supreme
Great, arguments again, OT: The Gas Stations/Corner Stores seem pretty good. BlackHeartedGovernor
First place that came to mind is the Alturist Camp. I'd rename it Woodbury. Imagine GTAV + DayZ combined? That would be one hell of a game. ClaudeSpeed1911

Nick930930
Assuming that there's now a need to for food/water in this fantasy "GTAVz Mod," the best place to be would probably be Paleto Bay. You're within driving distance of the military base for increased firepower, there's plenty of stores nearby, there's a helipad at the police station, there's a lift up to the top of the mountain in case you need it, and there's plenty of flat simple streets to make it easy to see zombies/enemies coming towards you from any side. Rabid Vulpix
Well..... Forget a piece of landmass, I would seize the Aircraft Carrier (from the Humane Labs Heist/Aquire EMP) Seeing as the military would likely be focusing on blockading Zancudo from both the infected & desperate survivoirs.... Once taken, making deals later on with other survivors that are still alive on the Los Santos landmass. In exchange for some supplies (could always fish lol), we'd send out one or two Lazers/Hydras to assist in survivor operations. Anyone even pretends to be falling ill/infected...their @ss is thrown overboad. Edited July 19, 2015 by Foreverpast cybert

Katabasis
I was thinking more along the lines of Humane Labs. It's relatively large, enclosed in fencing and large caches of food could easily be stored in many of the aboveground garages (hypothetically). The main road that leads to it winds through large sandy hills and could easily be blocked off by abandoned vehicles. Plus it's right next to the ocean so food/transport might not be too much of an issue. Fuel shortages would be non-existant, since there seems to be large resevoirs of natural gas/oil contained on the surface. There's even a facility built deep underneath, you could survive there for ages! But.. I could see some big problems though, since it's very plausible that Humane Labs is the SOURCE of the infection, what with all of the supposed "experimentation" that's been going on. If that's the case, then it's a big f*cking death trap anyway and you'd be better off holed up elsewhere. UptownRider
Hmmm...its either the Altruist Camp or Dignity Village (Hobo Camp). Although the Altruist camp seems to be the most ideal imo. I say the hobo camp, because the tunnel entrance can be barricaded/guarded,and its about 10 minutes away from Paleto Bay,which the survivors could go to loot for food and whatnot. Zancudo sounds good, but no doubt the military is gonna hold fort there, and kill anyone who approaches them. Either that,or the place would be full of military undead. It'll be a bitch to take over that place. For weaponry,me and my group can just raid the ammu-nation in Paleto. A.O.D.88 and cybert

Anyone even pretends to be falling ill/infected...their @ss is thrown overboad. A mobile camp is great. A few of the "prop_lev_des_barge_01" towed together, and an Olifantus to tow it around when needed would be great! Underwater hardware caches all around the coast with submersibles, go for runs with boats anytime and anywhere. Alternatively, for a smaller group, some train wagons with mounted defenses could work fine too. Move around the map as need be and even have your vehicles with you too. At night you could be constantly moving at a slow pace just a bit faster than the zombies and be completely safe from them with only one man at the engine. Of course the complete track must be cleared, and never ever stop in the tunnels.... Edited July 20, 2015 by cybert

cybert
Still though, walking around killing zombies and die, spawn, rave, repeat is a great option until all zombies are dead. Since after all it's just a game, some very few rules still should be applied. If you don't have permadeath, why should the zombies have it then? As that may be an interesting twist, I would like to emphasize this is about survival, not applying shampoo UshaB
