Schweinhund Posted January 19, 2003 Share Posted January 19, 2003 Right, this is inspired by the Hi Jump Competition elsewhere on these forums, the challenge here is to land the biggest rotation possible. Location of Jump: Same as the High Jump, but the very corner to the right of the jumping spot. If you don't know where this is, go to the stadium from hyman condos, now take a left , leaving the elliptical road to go to the grass. Keep this way and you will see a dock, with a paved area behind it, more grass, and another dock wall. Position you bike's back tire against this wall and race off to the angled bit of turf at the far right hand side of the first dock's wall, making sure you clip it as you fly up into the air. Land the jump, coming off the bike is ok as long as the jump registers. My top score: Distance 50.34m Height 19.5m Rotation 963 degrees I'm sure it will be bettered, but I'm sure you'll agree it makes the jumping more interesting. Rules 1 Only a PCJ 600 or a Sanchez can be used, NO CARS! 2 We're only counting HORIZONTAL spins, no flips cos they seem to bump up the rotation 3 No Cheats! 4 There is no rule four. Also, does anyone know of a "Kicker Alley" in VC (by that I mean the dual carrigeway with planters as the central reservation (that's a median, USA readers) that was near the police station in Torrington on GTA3)? Just kick out the tail by tapping R1 and making a hard turn left or right while wheeling (so, diagonal downwards). I wonder if you can do a flip to get a couple extra feet on the height rating if you go horizontal right at the apex of your jump? Hmm... NinjaCat out. pops capo Posted January 21, 2003 Share Posted January 21, 2003 My best was on a PCJ 600 earlier today.. I pulled a 1278 by ramming into a Pheonix.. The bike was smoking black before I hit it, and when I did, it didn't catch fire, but it did about four spins really quick.. Only an Insane Stunt worth $98, but 1278 degrees nonetheless. I would have had a decent chance of pulling it off, but the game won't let you. Tommy automatically bails when he's upside down. It would have been sweet though. I was completely upside down before I reached my peak... I managed to pull of a "misty" by spinning the bike and pulling back really fast, when you get it just right it looks awesome. Althought the bike didn't actually flip all the way over, the spinning gives it that effect. I pulled it off on the jump just after the Malibu if your heading north. Yiphic Posted February 2, 2003 Share Posted February 2, 2003 Well I know this doesn't quality for this little contest, as it was in a totally different area, and I wasn't even trying to do anything crazy, but quite by accident I got a 1386º rotation on a PCJ. Sounds like a fib since it's exactly one degree more than what jonnyo got, but I can take a photo if I have to. I don't quite remember how it exactly happened even, but it was right in the area of the beginning of "PCJ playground", off the ramp to the rooftops where the first checkpoints appear.
