Someone blew up my fully modified Progen T20 and I thought "Haha, wasted a good bit of his money.", but it said he only paid $986. What's up with that?

"Haha, wasted a good bit of his money."

What if he has millions?

Then he got modded money and is not a legit player.

$27k is still hard to swallow for destroying someone's vehicle.

LOL damn you wiped out the few pennies he had LOL

I didn't think about how much he had, my bad.

lol probably

Didn't have enough money to pay the insurance

I wish this game could go into the negatives - having a debt to pay, pretty much. Let's say I have $1,000 and I blow up a car worth $20,000 then I would lose that $1,000 and all money that I would gain from then on would go for that remaining $19,000. But then the super-rare case of "not enough money to buy ammo because any money I make is immediately taken from me for that debt" could f*ck things up so maybe a bank loan with interest could be implemented...but I don't think players want to play a GTA with interest rates.

If R* are going to use GTA:O as a platform to build on, Maze Bank could have a much bigger part in the game. Choose a banking plan that works for your play style. Something like adjusting how much you pay your mechanic (and thus how much he can do for you - how many times you can call him in a GTA week, how far he can drive your car, if he drops it nearby or returns as a driver, etc.), how you pay insurance on vehicles (in payments or a full one-shot). I don't know. I think it would be an interesting idea to at least try out. Or consider. Or give a little thought to. Or just get a quick glance and then sip your cold coffee. What the f*ck do I know, I'm not a damn banker.

Then he's probably single if he's willing to pay that much for money in a game in which you can make money yourself.

Is there a list with prices people need to pay when you've insurance on your vehicle?

the insurance its .0125% of the total price of the car.

find the price in the website and do the math.

Ex...

T20 = 2,200,000 X .0125 = 27,500

I put my money on my second character when i go on a freeroam rampage, keeps it safe. Just put all you got in the bank, get on your secondary, withdraw it all, switch back to your primary et voila - no more paying for insurance :)

Luxor Deluxe - $10,000,000 x .0125 = $125,000

that may save you from spending money but yet you're going to get bad sport points so therefore you're still screwing yourself over

-snip-

Too much realism butt f*cks video games.

If R* want to build the whole goddamn world I think players would benefit from having a bank that does more than just saying they do banking errors and just hold onto your money while you're getting killed over and over again. I think that R* have a great opportunity of teaching young people (because kids play this game, let's not avoid it) how banking works. It would help them in-game and benefit them in real life when they require an actual bank. But I can imagine how weird it can be when they meet the banking rep, "can I just put my money through my phone like in GTA?".

As said: it needs some work and thought but I honestly believe Maze Bank having a bigger and more important part in GTA could stabilize the game. It would make players reconsider being assholes and blow their money away.

Lol I've got almost 28 Million sitting in my bank, Non of it is modded or glitched.

All missions, heists and dailys.

I avoid those T20s like a plague, 27K gone in an instant is painful whether you have $100K or $20M.

Could be an effective way of stopping people from blowing up innocent peoples Jets and stuff, but it would also be amazing for Hydra griefers. If you'd have to pay almost 40k for defending yourself.

I just have to say, I totally feel you on that. Not many think it's that much of a biggie, got millions, what's 27k? Yeah, well when you've earned it all, it still stings. You think back on what you had to do in the process of earning that, and poof, gone with only a single kill mark, if you're lucky, as your momentous reward...

I don't mind paying for my shenanigans, at all. However, during a jet run, smokin a T20/Osiris or two and you kind of start to ease up on the "oooh lock on, let 'er fly" mentality...let me tell ya.

I like the idea of having a debt to pay, just like San Andreas. If you stay in the negative, your incentive would be NPC hunting you at the worst times. Other incentive is you can't buy more things and obviously what you earn goes towards paying back your debt. Shark card buyers should be exempt because that's real money...

Yeah right like Rockstar would care about them.

It devalues the insurance based on selecting 'tacky' options. I'm not saying your car's tacky, but to go from 20k to 1k, well....

You can definitely tell when someone has money from modders/glitching. They tend to not care about wasting thousands paying to T20/Osiris insurance, calling in airstrikes/going nuts with explosives or setting $9K bounties on everyone. I shudder to think what'll happen if/when they do open the casino. imagine, there's a god table going, until a person with glitched money joins and starts betting all in every round. To them, what's $10K if they lose, when they have glitched millions? They just want to get whatever rewards for winning hands, even though they suck at playing or troll other players and watch as they successfully drive everyone off the table.
