All they stated was that said events would yield 2X RP.

 

Both of you say you haven't seen one so how would you know if that's the case or not.

Same here. I've done a couple target cars tho and haven't gotten any double money. No smuggler planes/helicopters either.

I've waited 20+ minutes and 10+ in-game hours for the freeroam events to happen in GTA Online after the RPs were doubled from the announcement. Nothing.

Well documented on these forums dude that the random events only occur every FORTY EIGHT minutes real time or TWENTY FOUR in game hours.

 

Based on your comment you only waited for roughly half that amount.

Level 8 squaker is in mansion team and tells his teammate to use some sh*tty outfit and he will not ready up until his partner has his sh*tty robber outfit

I'm with the host on town hall team. We snipe the lawyers and the host hops into his armored kuruma and I think "walk in a park!" but no the host is retarded and instead of stopping the car so we can retrieve the deposition the retard is driving around killing the cops so i have to bail out of his car to get the deposition. I die once but then I manage to get the deposition and deliver it. Host tries to ram me with his kuruma with dollar rims while on the way to his aparment. In the end I get a bronze medal and retard host gets platinum.....

Everyone hops into their cars and leaves. I'm the demolition and the prisoner tries to get in my car but i just speed of because we are going to different objectives. Random level 19 leaves....

Everything goes good until the end. Pilot can't lose the cops so I decide to crash the buzzard to the ocean to restart the mission. I get stuck in a loading screen before the game says something about a network error and throws me back into free roam

Funny though that the whole heist strand is still bugged and all the "2X RP" options are still locked behind a 48 minute wait.

I've brought this up in other threads.

 

They look at the numbers and adjust accordingly.

 

Same concept as daily objectives and other event playlists. They hype the least played game modes to try and spark interest.

 

Problem is when temporary rewards expire players move back to their preferred routines anyway.

Yup, but doubling the money you pay for completing a heist that's apparently hard to complete for the majority of the play base just makes the failures more painful, it does very little to reduce the difficulty (other than bringing in experienced players looking for cash).

 

But then I suspect when the potatoes that are struggling with PB do get past it, they'll just get as far as Deliver EMP and start crying again.

I for one enjoy these surprise events regardless.

 

I play too much and any little thing that breaks up the monotony is appreciated.

This one isn't hard as long as players don't do stupid things (like pull the gun out in the police station). Choosing the right location to "acquire" the police car makes it fast and easy. Even the Casco side isn't hard, but the infinite-wanted level glitch sucks the fun and time away.

 

After cutscene you walk out of the host's apartment, wait for 'dude with no name' to finish explaining what to do. Pull out your phone, contacts - Emergency Services and ask for Police. Cop car will come straight to you.

Calling for the car isn't the protip.

The thing to do is to drive over near a train tunnel, calling for the police car, then as soon as you're in it, to drive into the tunnel to ditch the wanted level.

Sadly it's not for other Heists because I think Prison Break has the hardest Finale ever. But setups are easy enough. Hardest setup will be the Cop Station I assume.

Station is easy, kill two guys and parachute to the Casco. So many people insist on shooting up the entire damn Cargo Ship though. Totally unnecessary.

 

I tried it twice. The 1st time the parachute hasn't opened and the 2nd time it has opened late so I have crashed on a container, fallen on the ground and shot down.

I will never do this again.

 

 

Plane

Super easy. Actually easier than the gang attack that happens there because their spawns are more predictable. An armored Kuruma and someone with enough knowledge to land a plane can finish it quickly. The drive and flight back is longer than the firefight.

 

Bus

Mind-numbingly easy. I actually did this "solo" once: I just told the three randoms to stay by the start point until I delivered the bus.

 

Station

This one isn't hard as long as players don't do stupid things (like pull the gun out in the police station). Choosing the right location to "acquire" the police car makes it fast and easy. Even the Casco side isn't hard, but the infinite-wanted level glitch sucks the fun and time away.

 

Wet Work

If you know how to snipe, it's easy. If you don't... hope the other person with you knows how to snipe.

 

Finale

This has the hardest Elite Challenge (IMO) and the Prisoner role is one of the hardest of all heist jobs, but the Pilot only has to be semi-competent, and the Demolitions job is simple, too. The only catch is the infinite-wanted level glitch.

This is the easiest challenge, when the demolition helps the ground team.

I have skilled friends online but i want more people in my list so we can play whenever we want. Also for the pacific job you can add me. The cuts are always 40 for the leader and the rest gets 20. Yesterday we did the Prison break and nobody dies or restart. After that a friend had the pacfic final and we took the full 1.250.000. And all of that in about 2 a 2 half hour's. It was a little bit longer because of time outs.

 

My gamer tag is MRSJEIKS89 on PS4. Also when there is an easy way to do things in the heist and you dont know it please accept the suggestion so we all can make money. No, it's not demanding but an option. It's just a game, not real life haha.

 

This weekend online tonight, tomorrow evening/night and sunday after noon.

I have been surprisingly lucky when playing PB heist with randoms yesterday and today. Usually setups and heists have required many restarts, but this time no big problems even in heist finals. Even low levels were quite good which is pleasant surprise. I think that's good event weekend, at least a bit different than others have been.

Not sure what system you're on + your post is few pages back (page 2) but for PS3 it doesn't seem fixed for myself. I'm have done a "restore files" because it's lookin' as my invites never send to crew members or friends unless they're in current session. Annoying me lately because the system file restore didn't help any f*ckin'fing 😡

Besides Fleeca, it's the easiest one, though.

If you consider all the missions and not just the finale...

 

Humane Labs Raid includes a stealth mission that many people can't get past, no matter how many attempts they make. And because people can't follow simple instructions, some teams fail when leaving the area because they shoot at the reinforcements. Then there's also the EMP theft and that includes flying. And taking off with a Hydra. And NOT flying into eachother and blowing everyone up.

 

Series A is fairly intense when it comes to combat. The Trash Truck mission is hard for people because they can't work well with a time limit and drive badly. The escort missions are too difficult for most players as well. The escortees split up and get attacked simultaneously, leaving the escort to choose ONE player to protect, and it often ends up in tears.

 

The Pacific Standard job is obvious. It starts with the Signal mission, blowing up Schwartzman because someone HAD to stand in the boat and use a homing launcher on the chopper, hitting the roof of the boat instead. The Hack mission isn't too bad, but if the driver of the black van isn't great (and let's be honest, other traffic isn't helping) or the passengers aren't good shooters or refuse to take cover, that'll quickly fail too.

The Convoy is a bitch with random players because something always gets blown up. The bikes are only do-able if people are really lucky and don't crash or if the enemies are spawned by taking a bike and killed before delivering the vehicles.

The finale? Jeez. Getting to the bikes without losing a ton of cash and lives is hard enough. But with everyone going off on their own, the escape is tough.

 

Sure, there's a few things that the average GTA:O player cannot grasp in the Prison Break heist, but overall it's still the easiest. And during this event, all of the missions (assuming there's not many restarts per mission) feel like they're worth the time.

You can kill all the cops in the area of the document and have a window to grab the document with no cops around at all. He was doing the right thing killing all the cops.

Nice man, I've played 1992 hours and I'm only level 213... haha. All I play is freeroam 95% of the time though.
