GTA Online Prison Break Heist: DOUBLE SCORE WEEKEND

The weekend hasn't gotten off to a good start. Just quit a session after being fortunate enough to join two PB finales with payouts to rival PBJ but ultimately failed because of randums.

I tried with randoms, they usually and mostly suck.

Hopped on the game and completed two Prison Break finales back to back with no failures and 40/20 cut. Made 400k in around 30-40 minutes, whew talk about lucky. Did the Station set up afterwards and made 38k.

 

Not bad at all.

460k in just under 2 hours? Haven't had a successful session like this in idk how long lol

Lol the heist is so under-played they gotta double the payouts for people to play it. Such a garbage heist...

I get more invites to that one than any mission except Pacific Standard. The problem being it may be the easiest to fail since every crew member has to pull their weight to complete it, while everything else is easier or you can lean on the strength of your partner.

Loving the double cash and rp event so far. I've made about 600k since it started and it doesn't seem to end. Hopefully I get an good crew so we can make even more.

To be fair, a lot of people still die needlessly and from being a showboat. Normal, gives the team an extra chance after Rambo takes his inevitable fall.

Did all the setups with a group of randoms whio decided not to invite me to the finale, so I said screw it, and hosted the finale which I'd been stuck on. Got two chatty fellas and some level 21 halfwit first. I let the level 21 be pilot since he had 3 bars of flying already full. He crashed the plane maybe 3 times before the jet even showed up, then refused to fly behind the jet twice even though I told him to, I got the bus stuck in a tree, and then he landed the plane while the jet was flying, destroying the Velum again.

 

I restarted the heist with the other two guys and one of the other GTAF crew members (not sure who) and I was pilot this time. They tried to get me to be ground team, but I wasn't having any of that. We finished the heist with only one restart this time, and I finally got the "Four Way" trophy.

 

I'm bored of this heist now though.

Had my first 400k as host already http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=482654429 40-20-20-20 and its hard unlike many ppl who play it on normal I mean come on its easy for the ppl outside the prison and I put Prison Officer on myself where I used Carbine Rifle and Heavy Sniper but if fail a couple of times because of screw ups from outside the Prison I just use Minigun against NOOSE to make it faster.

I see a lot of people complaining that it's their least favorite heist, or speculating that it's the least played so R* must be providing greater incentive to play it...

 

Have you guys not realized it is probably a hastily put together event in light of El Chapo's escape from prison? I thought it was kind of funny.

Has anyone encountered a glitch in the Cop Station setup? After picking up the prison bus schedule we sat in the police cruiser but neither of us could get the engine to turn on and ergo move anywhere.

 

In the end the only choice I had was to destroy it there, right outside the station. Thankfully it worked and I can even finally say that I have completed the Prison Break heist!!

I have also been having this issue. I thought it was game over but I didn't realise if you just blow it up you can still complete the mission!

 

Yup. Handily you get a shotgun at some point in the setup, possibly from the station itself but I'm not entirely sure.

ranking has nothing to do with skill level. There are plenty of players with multiple characters, some of which are low level, but those players know what they are doing and can complete these missions with little to no issue, and there are some players with one character that is low level and again can do it just fine. I have seen plenty of players with high level characters struggle through the heists, and fail more times than I can count.

Not long ago I joined a random PB setup lobby and failed to notice that they had set it to easy, yielding a payout of just over $15k. Setting it normal is one thing but easy?!

Seems like things are very glitchy Online today.

 

Keep getting thrown into sessions by myself.

 

Joined a Prison Break set up mission, somehow the host started it with only three players in the lobby, instantly got kicked out and spawned with a duffle bag on my character in a normal public session.

 

Saved that outfit haha.

Yeah, rammed it halfway across the bridge with my Guardian then got frustrated with traffic being super annoying and shot at it until it blew up.

I had some really weird issue with this setup earlier on.

Keep in mind I was on the Casco team so I don't know the full story... Well I delivered the Casco and noticed that the Station team was taking a real long time to deliver the schedule, so I checked the map and they were stationary at the same spot under the bridge where you are supposed to torch the police car.

Went on to check only to find out the schedule was dropped on the floor, and none of us (all 4 of us) could just pick it up. We tried shooting it with the pistol but it only moved away the schedule, but still was un pick-able.

 

Never seen this bug happened, but then again I only played this setup twice.

Not at all. I've gotten more invites to other Heists more than The Prison Break all day today. Hosting though, might be a problem, you're better off quick joining.

I saw a target vehicle earlier and I just picked up a crate 10-15 minutes ago. It had red smoke and consisted of 2K RP and a carbine rifle.

 

It was a full 16 player lobby, we were all in the city and the crate dropped by the Sandy Shores Airfield. I was in by the Vespuci Helipad camping for a Hydra griefer when I got the "crate drop inbound" pop-up. I got in a helicopter and flew there as fast as I could, which wasn't necessary, I was the only one going towards it.

I've waited 20+ minutes and 10+ in-game hours for the freeroam events to happen in GTA Online after the RPs were doubled from the announcement. Nothing.
