I think it's good to use the hunter, because I had about 7000 in criminal rating, then I took out the hunter and did some "Brown Thunder"...when i came to level 704 i got tired because you couldnt get more money...and then when i looked at my criminal rating i had now 234,000....so I guess it's a good idea to use the hunter!! It took like 2 hours to do that...It was really boring and when you are on level 704 you get about 25 million $ for every level you beat after that...but that does'nt count that much because when you are on that high level you have 999,999,999$ so you can't get more... If you want to increase these stats significantly try using the 'bigbang' cheat, it seems to help. The next stage will be Boss at 250,000, then Kingpin at 300,000, Don at 400,000 and Godfather at 500,000. I think. I have $999999999 as well that may help. And try using the Hunter's missiles to shoot down the blimp. Getting 'Stuff of Legends' is simple. Shoot and blow sh*t up for ages until you get it. Try going on 6 star rampages. Spuds725 Posted January 4, 2005 Share Posted January 4, 2005 I only know about PS2--and on PS2-- The Blimp is not solid and cannot be shot down The jetliners (that fly) are not solid and cannot be shot down. The plane pulling the banner can be shot down with the hunter missles but it raises your wanted level- this explosios is disproportionally big. The best way I've found to raise your media attention is to go on a rampage with rockets--if you have 100% and unlimited ammo, this is very easy to do...just hold down the fire and keep blowing everthing up (don't let go of the button) and it should take you just a couple of minutes. This is a media attention trick-- If you have access to the hunter, fly up on top of the hyman condo (you must have at least 2 stars--I wouldn't use more then 2 since the police heli will spawn) and park it on the pad so it faces the doorway where you come up...now start firing (both rockets must hit the building) this will raise your media attention to stuff of legends in a few minutes and I ran mine up to about 6000 in about 15. Note for media attention, you cannot stop firing your rockets (unless you pause)-- the stat that is shown is "highest" media attention-- you always have this stat and it varies with what you are doing-- if you stop firing your rockets even for a couple of seconds it drops back down and you have to fire for a longer period to get it back up to where it was.....a simple description for this is that it drops alot faster then it rises so to get it high, you can't stop firing. There is a cheat (on PS2) to make this stat visible on your screen but I've never got it to work--the game will accept the cheat but nothing happens.
