My character looks a bit smaller than others. I dont know why, maybe its just a angle? Someone have this issue too?

I think they are 6'. But in the game they really look like manlets.

What I don't understand is in the character switch screen, it looks like the male characters are 6' and female characters are at least 5'10 or 5'9 without heels. But in the actual game the females look like the female equivalent of Yao Ming while the males are munchkin size compared to them (exaggerating? maybe)

 

Being 5'7 in real life, I don't take kindly to this situation

You are right here. If we were allowed to pick how tall our characters would be. My female character would be 5 feet 6 and male character would be 6 feet 6 inches.

6ft my ass, they more like 5'6 at most, eveen shorter then most npcs. I would like to make my male character have the same similar stature and build as me irl(6'1 and athletic). And sh*t i dont mind tall females, long legs is yummy and really nice to look at.

I guess the whole character selection screen showing the characters being 6 feet all is part of Rockstar satire of thing. As in is meant to knock off how people are superficial about height so much these days, for example on the start Lamar mocks the male character for being too short, when in reality he is 6 feet tall, at least this is what the games tell me. Just like some guys are super insecure to their height nowadays even while being over 5'10, I guess this is what rockstar is trying to show with this, that even at a reasonable height sometimes you just don't feel right about it due how superficial this became.

 

Or maybe I'm just overthinking things. and they were just lazy and threw the measurements on the wall out of proportion.

If characters could be shorter and thinner then the hitboxes would need to be changed as well. First only griefers and tryhards would turn their characters into anorexic midgets to have an advantage at PvP and soon after the entire game would turn into GTA:Smurfs to stay competitive.

Back when I played Max Payne 3's multiplayer a lot, everyone and their Mother played as a female because they just had a smaller body mass and height compared to the hulking male avatars. It ultimately made them a smaller target and harder to hit. I'd imagine if this was somehow implemented in GTA Online, it would be the same story where everyone's like 5'3 and strafing in first person so it's literally borderline impossible to hit them lol.
