The Dedito Gae
So, V aspired to get a cinematographic vibe, the story is structured as a movie, there's a soundtrack, cutscenes feel more like scenes instead of everyday moments caught on tape, question is: Do you want the next gta to have that movie feel? please tell why. Choco Taco
I don't because I feel things get too linear that way. I want to have the freedom to do missions the way I want. Also, I don't really care for the cinematic music.
Heists
I would like a mixture of IV and V. I'd prefer to keep the cinematics and all the awesome elements that made the story enjoyable such as the soundtrack and cut-scenes, but make the missions less linear. Gnocchi Flip Flops
IV was like a thriller crime movie, too. IMO, IV feels more like a series instead of a high budget movie. Not gonna lie, IV kind of felt like one of those high-budget HBO or Showtime shows. I want the next GTA to have that feel. Most action movies aren't that appealing to me, they're all suspense and no substance. At least to me. That's why I have a very limited collection of action movies that I actually love and could watch over and over. If V were a movie, it wouldn't be included. I'm sorry, it just wouldn't. It sort of reminds me of the second Transformers movie. Fun and lots of action-porn but... it's not really special. Official General
If it's gonna be more corny-ass, cheap, and gimmicky Hollywood parody bullsh*t like what we got in V then the answer is NO. I'd much rather prefer an engrossing and thrilling crime drama feel like IV mixed with an explosive, but more realistic crime action movie flick like the Vice City feel. Gnocchi Flip Flops
SA>VC>V>IV for atmosphere. IV just feels like I'm in a small grey and brown box. People who say this kill me. I can't say any GTA has a dull atmosphere at all. And pardon me for jumping to conclusions but most who've said IV just feels like a small and grey box - especially when describing the city - never really bothered to give it a chance and take it slow. theNGclan, Che Guevara_187 and Jabalous

XenoxX
I realy like this Cinematic vibe, especialy during chases (for example during the Yacht chase) This makes chases in GTA not just chases, but a cinematic experience. I would like to see enhancement on this in the upcoming GTA's. Also IV's crime feeling gives a fitting shady atmosphere, however I wouldn't like both mixed up, that wouldnt work. Both are good for what they are but I personaly realy prefer V's cinematic devices. GourangaMaster and Gnocchi Flip Flops
woggleman
I want the next GTA to have the feel of a 70s crime drama or an early Tarantino kind of vibe. Both IV's and V's vibes work for them. IV made you feel like a criminal fresh off the boat in a big city. It captured the grit and grime of New York perfectly and it even captured North Jersey very well. V was this flashy and colorful world which is beautiful on the surface but completely rotten to the core. Many people seem to have everything but are miserable. I always say that IV is the entry point of the American dream and V is the end game and both games are sort of a commentary on it. S1N0D3UTSCHT3K
if anything, I thought V was structured even more like a sitcom than a movie emphasis on dialogue over story and plot carrying independent 'episodes' caricatures over characterization numerous smaller arcs it's structured almost exactly like a crime-comedy sitcom rather than a drama film.. less Michael Mann's Heat or Miami Vice (film) and more like the classic Miami Vice sitcom Sleeping Dogs or The Last of Us are good film-based stories IMO but GTA V is much more like a sitcom imo GourangaMaster, Homicidal Hipster and josephene123

New York during that era is the perfect setting for a GTA. They can also include a version of Atlantic City in Alderney back when Casinos first opened and the mob was fighting for control of the city. That would introduce gambling back to GTA and you could buy one which comes with it's own set of side missions. They can also have a club similar to Studio 54 with the interior. Algonquin Assassin
I want the next GTA to have the feel of a 70s crime drama or an early Tarantino kind of vibe. Maybe I'm alone with this opinion, but I feel that's what GTA IV has. It reminds me of watching The Warriors with a late 70s/early 80s drama feel. I think it's the use of darker and sombre colours that mix in well to create this feeling despite being a contemporary game. Fusion FM is one of my favourite stations and I generally like cruising in old muscle cars so I guess that's why. However I agree both vibes of GTA IV and GTA V work for them respectively. GTA IV is the American Dream and GTA V is The Pursuit Of The Almighty Dollar. There should be something in between to bridge the two themes. I'm thinking modern Vice City with a similar feel to Drive. ClaudeSpeed1911
woggleman
IV's LC certainly felt like the old NY. They heavily degentrified the city for the game but I want them to go even further for a game set in the 70s. Imagine Bohan looking like bombed out Berlin like the Bronx actually did back then. rjmthe2nd
V imo has a "dreamlike" feel to it,like the game is so unreal, i expected it to be like IV / RDR grounded in it's reality, or basically just GTA IV in LS. but it's just crazy like Saints Row 2. still a good game, just feels wierd even thinking about how loose this game was. gooeyhole
The game doesn't have a clear vibe to it. That's part of the problem. The three characters kinda create a paint like effect, when mashed together it turns into an ugly shade of grey. Jabalous

Edgrd
actually if the overall vibe of GTA V and IV is combined i think it'll make a pretty good game , imagine doing IV "loud and dumb" styled heist with the little background music and movie like feel just like in V , or imagine going bowling with your cousin , or something. idk. so yes i wanted V's atmosphere on the next game , but a bit mixed with GTA IV.
