I'm not seeing anything worth of being called "proof" here, other than maybe the lack of OP's understand on what constitutes actual scientific evidence.

Obviously, the Bati is now the fastest ground vehicle on a straight line in the game.

 

Protip: It is not.

1) Stats are not reliable for these things.

2) I, with friends have put the Vindicator to the test at the airport, against many things. Using perfect starts, double clutching / whatever (yes we all know how).

At first it didn't look that good, but unfortunately the Vindicator DID turn out to be able to beat all others on the airfield.

I say unfortunately because I hate it. THE VINDICATOR IS HIDEOUS.

I say "Able to beat", not "faster than" because that all depends on the rider. Many can't combine things properly to get the fast times.

I say "all others" - y'know .... except the lowered Rapid GT.

I concur with the findings in this thread. I can "double clutch" with the best of them. I've owned almost every car in the game at some point. The day i bought this bike i got a new highest speed, 162.2mph. It was 157.6 in a hakachou for the longest time.

Why thank you, Captain Obvious? That is the exact same thing I'm pointing out in the post you quote-mined. If the "Protip: It is not." under my Bati stat that you have intentionally omitted doesn't make the sarcastic nature of my post clear, you are hopelessly dense and should seek professional help. (Note: Don't call Mandoza, he's too busy being hit.)

On topic, more of a question actually, can the vindicator pull up a wheelie at speed or does it need a bump like the akuma? I know the hakakou or however it's spelled can wheelie like cutting through butter so I just wondered. Thanks

Those speeds are the equivalent of a jet. You're saying you went as fast or faster than a jet? Are you sure?

Fear, that's just going off the stats in the pause menu. For all we know they are buggered up and surely don't match the speedometer. But I've never hit a launch glitch and I'm mindful of my speed runs. I was actively checking the stats as i was attempting to break my own record. I was "double-cluthing" the vin and doing a wheelie with kers at around 130mph (as per spedometer). I could tell that vin was moving fast so i tried a few times and bested my old top speed easily. And I've done a hakachou wheelie for over 3,200 ft.

 

 

Eta- and if you climb high in a hydra and then do a long dive you'll see that the spedometer pegs out passed 140mph. So it's not gonna beat a hydra in a race...

Apparently, demanding an accurate, scientific approach to prove a thing that I'm actually interested to know the truth of makes me a naysayer.

Indeed, dashboard speedo is of dubious trustworthiness. The speedo of the Z-Type flat out lies; it stops at ~90mph and yet at that speed, no other car can catch up to it. And if the Z-Type is blatantly lying about its speed, what stops the other cars from being in the same situation?

 

Unfortunately, this means the only real way to accurately measure speed for comparison would be installing a speedo mod and test it in SP. The closest alternative would be something like what Broughy did in his

, though I wouldn't put money in his numbers being actually accurate either, since the track he used isn't flat and straight, and there's no flat straight long enough for that sort of testing in the game.

 

 

... And suddenly, I realize I'm talking about top speed instead of drag timing, whoops.
