I remember back then In 13' when we had to do missions everyone had to strategize their next move and you had to actually think what ur next step would be in order to pass the mission.

 

now everyone is with hydra's or the savage or armoured evo's just to get the mission done. eh oh well still gets it done.

 

now before anyone say "well if u dont like how other people do things host it yourself". that's fine if i want to play alone if my friends aren't on or busy "but u can play with ur friends" yes i can if they aren't busy or on at the time I would like to do missions.

 

idk i just miss those days a lot and wish we could have that feeling of actualy planning what to do next with our missions allies.

Play it with friends? They've finally fixed the "Remain Host after Next Job Vote Screen" option so you shouldn't find yourself stuffed into a public session anymore.

 

In a public, matchmaking-open session, efficiency is king. I'm not sorry for calling Pegasus in every single mission that I see fit even if it means "ruining your fun".

I play with a crew called Free Aimers sometimes. They are the best mission players I have ever met. They play how you describe. They know every mission extremely well, and play in ways I have never seen before. I jump at the chance to do missions with them.

 

Seriously, I don't know their enrollment procedures but you should check them out.

Saves $ on ammo and vests, Pegasus is cheaper than a grenade. Decreases the chance the mission will fail (virtually to 0).

The second I got an AR was the second I no longer had to strategize about missions, now that we got those at level 1.....

Use my pegasus vehicles as often as I can to conserve on ammo/snacks and whatever else I may end up using trying to have an uneven battle against a small army.

That's a very nice story, OP, I've got some nice stories to share as well if you would like to hear.

 

But I feel you anyway, this is mostly the reason why I don't do missions with randumbs anymore, I'm not really in a rush, I rather enjoy the game than rushing it all around.

the first couple runs of heist were really exciting, because of the "new" factor.

 

after that you know what to do, learn the AI pattern and simply follow the drill.

Stocks and scares is my favorite mission because it took me SO LONG to figure out how to solo it.

 

I remember the first time i made it to the safe and as i was cracking it more merryweather goons came up tbe stairs and killed me.

 

I finally figured out that exiting after getting the case is easier by running along the catwalk and taking a swan dive into the water and swimming out then up to my waiting car.

 

I also drive to Lesters warehouse along the railway tracks in the tunnel.

Ahhh, 2013. Gunning down LOST MC and Vagos on Violent Duct with an SMG, making strategic use of cover trying not to get f*cked up. Getting the coke, delivery, a nice 9K. SWEET, I can buy rims!

I think you're describing the reason - not enough new missions since the release of the game.

 

And aside from monetary gain, I find heists to have a far lower replaying value due to their heavily-scripted nature. You can't just bulldoze them even if you know the whole drill.

I see the OP's point, and lately I have been joining some contact missions with randoms and playing as they were intended, as a nice challenge.

 

But when I am grinding solo, on any kind of complex mission or where I have to chase down some targets scattered over the map, my strategy is "Buzzard."

 

I recently got a new strategy, "Savage," but it maneuvers like a barge and is unsatisfying to fly.

If for you, the fact to play a mission properly (with a little immersion, with strategy, with a real Teammates work), it's a waste of time, good... the next GTA "VI" will be a Tetris without story, without atmosphere .... you right, why made a game with story, with a real gameplay while many of gamers "players" just want to push one button to do 10 simultaneous & automatic actions, they don't have the time to waste their time to enjoy a gameplay, and to respect a game, a franchise (the GTA franchise).... then, let's go for the next GTA (code name "GTA VI"): Grand Tetris Online!

-QTE (because it's boring to use many buttons/keys to make several simultaneous actions.... and it's very difficult to coordinate, to think, to push buttons for people with a small brain, and so difficult to remember the buttons, to read instruction, to listen when NPC introduce a mission.... ),

-Automatic cash transfer to the bank account (because it's boring to use the phone, because it's boring to have to go to a ATM.... because it's boring to lose 500$ when people kill them while they're going to a ATM, or while they're using their bank appli...),

-No story, no mission, just clothes, apartments, cars and a big schoolyard falsely called sandbox by these ignorants, because it's boring and a big waste of time to play missions, to think by his/herslef... and... phewww... Tennis and Golf are so boring....),

Taking your time (within reason) > completing the mission afap (as fast as possible).

I still do. More often than not, playing with friends or randoms, im usually the last one alive because i think before i act, i use cover liberally, and only rambo when there is no other option.

 

I use my hydra and buzzard (f*ck the savage) a lot, but even then there are certain tactics involved, such as remaining at a safe distance and altitude, picking which targets need to be taken first, and when to fire rockets when dealing with vehicular enemies, be it helos or robocop SUVs. I dont use my aircraft because i wanna get done quicker, but mainly because i love aviation IRL and in games, and as such, use every excuse i can to get airborne in GTA

 

*also, anyone who uses armored kurumas for missions and never gets out of them are scrubs.
