Missfinley Posted July 13, 2015 Share Posted July 13, 2015 Homing launchers are overpowered and are nearly impossible to evade in helicopters,I am writing to see if anyone agrees with me. In my opinion the weapon should be removed or nerfed, If none of these are possible for rockstar to do or disagree with me then why not add in some counter measures such as deploy able flares. I belive that helicopters especially the Valkyrie and savage need protective armour or even better... FLARES! I believe Flares would add a new level of skill and protection for the Helicopter that made me poor Remember that HELO was 2.8 million and is a military Helicopter with no flares or armour. BruisingEmu Posted July 13, 2015 Share Posted July 13, 2015 All in all the homing launchers "lock" is pretty weak (Ever watch people try to shoot down the smuggler plane?) Myself, I am confident I can dodge and shoot back at somebody using a homing launcher... Except in the helicopters you mentioned, the Savage, Valkyrie, and Annihilator could all use a little help in that field. Maybe just a boost in top speed, or being able to withstand a single homing missile. Though the Savage and Valkrie are definitely heavily armed (And I think a Valkyire crew could still help call out the launchers location and the Valkyrie pilot could evade with a sweeping turn) so we'd have to be careful about making them more durable. Actually. I think the missiles are definitely dodge-able. But a system in more advanced or weaponized helicopters that help identify the direction of the lock would help. I mean play the game and deal with it FFS! Fly high out of HL range or fly away from the blips on the map or go passive mode even. SteelBeams Posted July 13, 2015 Share Posted July 13, 2015 I honestly would like a better warning system for the pilot flying, every time ive been shot down by one, no matter how far away the shooter was, i heard exactly ONE warning buzz, then instantly blew up, you cant even see the rocket incoming, nor can you bail in time. I cant stand how well those rockets turn, either, you could be flying straight at someone, pass them just as they fire their rocket, and that bitch will loop around and hunt you down like a bat out of hell. Ever since the release of the homing launcher, coupled with the hydra, if im flying anything that isnt armed, i fly in an invite only lobby. There is nothing more annoying than minding your own business, flying through downtown LS in your Besra, and getting shot down by some bloodthirsty noob who you posed ZERO threat to. U should have more than enough time to evade the second homing shot due to the reload and lock on speed of the homing launcher. The reason why we shouldn't have it removed is because taking out helicopters and aircraft would be almost impossible.
