There are many new cars recently, what cars are the best for racing?

 

My issue seems to be that the cars with the best acceleration and handling rarely have a top speed to keep up on long straightaway races.

Oh I forgot Super Diamond for sedans is fastest on long straights but there does need to be literally no turns heh.

Very tough for Supers, now the T20 is the new kid in town. I'd still pick the Entity XF because of its overall performance, but I just love the way the T20 handles the corners and its acceleration.

 

Coupes has only one definite answer: The Exemplar. Very quick, very stable and goes around corners smoothly. I use Vinewood Hills to practice cornering and acceleration due to the streets being narrow and hard to overtake.

 

A lot of contenders for sports, but my pick is either the Massacro, the Massacro (racing edition) or the Rapid GT. When fully modified, they go quick and fast and when you get used to the handling, it can take on some of the Super cars.

OP, there is no true answer to your question. Two major factors are driving skill/style and track. Some cars are better than others on one track but not another. Honestly expect to see more arguing than a decent answer. Also take any Broughy reference with a grain of salt.

Keep in mind that Broughy tests are not actually accurate down to those <1s numbers, since he's a human and not a supercomputer.

 

If you want something that's good for overall performance, try the top 3 or 4 of each class from his tests and find the one that you're the most comfortable with, unless you see a massive gap in laptime (e.g. Van and SUV). For example, the minor advantage the T20 has over the Osiris doesn't mean a thing if the Osiris suits your driving style better.

I mean his info is pretty damn good, but always take the cars by yourself and see which car or upgrades suits your style better, rather than copying everything he does.

For a overall opinion he's great. But pinpoint opinion because most the top 3-5 cars. Are really close to each other. You may find one of them better suited for your driving.

This is pretty accurate. However, something to keep in mind is just because its best in-class, doesn't mean it's best for YOU. Example: The Dominator has amazing performance, but if you cant keep the rear from sliding, you're best off with another muscle car.

Nobody says he is. He has however tested every car in the game, he is a very good racer, he is the leader of the biggest race crew, and takes at least a somewhat scientific approach to his tests.

 

That and generally most racers agree with what he says, not because they are followers, but because they were already using the cars he recommends.

 

At the very least, his list is a good baseline so the total noob doesn't go using a Picador in Muscle races.

I'm not sure why you're slating the Picador, though, it's actually a really decent car when it's upgraded, it's no racer but still...
