Though we tried, the city fell.

 

No one really knows when exactly it happened, but the sunshine state turned to darkness, the gutters overflowing with the blood of the greedy, spilled by the vengeful, watched by the vain and taught to the innocent. No longer could a patriotic salute assure the trust of a stranger, instead a cloud of fear feeding into itself and blinding all but the most stolid of heart.

 

It was in that darkness that I found the mask. A bright yellow beacon sticking out of the sand on muscle beach. A face, one that although I was seeing for the first time, had been mine all along.

 

And so I became Yellow Man. And swore that when I wore that mask I would give my body over to the forces of good, and fight for the freedom to roam freely, without the fear of suffocating grief that slinks its cowardly face down every alleyway.

 

I don’t think I can do this alone.

 

Feel free to document your vigilante escapades here. And if you are a villain, and dare to show your skin in this place, know that your days are numbered.

 

 

Taking on some scum I traced skulking in the desert, joined by these Red Sisters who wanted to fight for the cause.

 

No one must know who I truly am, but it gets harder and harder to hang on to my true self.
