I think most of the people here asking for more ridiculously priced items have glitched/modded money. That completely takes away your right to ask for these kinds of things, IMO. It really reflects badly on you if you came to this thread asking for items with prices in the tens of millions if you have cheated with cash, because it indicates you want something exclusive and prestigious while not having done any work for it. If you have tens of millions legit and nothing to spend it on, then such a request would be completely understandable.

 

I have modded money too. I could afford the jet but I didn't buy it, and it sure as hell wouldn't make me feel special buying something like this with modded money.

Anyone who bought the golden Jet is sending up a big, gold flag to Rockstar, other players, and moms of the world, saying, "Hey! I got glitched money and I spent it!" Which, I think is exactly why "they," being Rockstar, released it in the first place. To absorb a big chunk of that glitched currency out there.

I know all about that... my goal in the game was to fill 6 garages across 2 characters with legit money. In well over a year, I managed to fill 2 with my favorite vehicles fully modded. Then I got gifted a large sum of money without asking for it. Seeing as my goal would take more than 3 years at the rate I was going, I decided I'd happily take the money, and later recieved some more. I now have my 60 favorite vehicles. But my point is that since there is so much modded cash, anything with these kinds of price tags cater to people with modded money much more than people with legit money. If something is supposed to be extremely expensive and therefore exclusive, it should only be attainable through actually putting in the effort to make that money in the game. I wouldn't be surprised if 90% of the people who bought the golden jet did so with modded cash. That completely takes away the status of the jet as an achievement and reduces it to a toy almost exclusively available to cheaters. I've seen people asking for new properties for like 40 million dollars. That would mean everyone who cheated get to enjoy it, and everybody who plays legit misses out.

The only point - literally the only one - of the gold jet is to be ostentatious and show off how much money you spent on it. Reducing the price negates its purpose. So no, don't lower the price. If you're gonna do that, you might as well remove it entirely.

if payouts were still like they were back in 2013 when they got nerfed, i'd say most of this high price stuff would only be accesible to cheaters, but thats not the case, today we have decent payouts, more ways of making money, with a little effort anyone can affort to buy a osiris, t20 or even the golden plane.

 

on any given day in 2-3 hours i can make 5-600k by just playing the game, on saturday i made over a million in a few hours. so saying that only cheaters can affort the "huge price tag" things is foolish.

 

this day a year ago i was raking millions with the hookers glitch, made little over 78millions, that was the last money glitch i did, being retired from money glitches since.

 

by february i was down to 35millions, then heist and all the other freeroam activies arrived, weeks later i owned all heist vehicles and was up to 53millions, with IGG 1 i dropped down to 45millions, by the time IGG 2 was dropped i was in 52millions again, when down to 47millions, now just just a week later im back up to 51 millions.

 

expensive stuff give people a "purpose" a goal to keep playing.

Strange. Nobody was complaining during the billionaire days that money dropped from the sky. In fact, it was the most fun time in gta ever, since you did not have money worries.

 

If you have a good crew, heist can be done like clockwork without dying. After the introduction of heists, I was down to 7 million. Before the igg 1 I was back up to 51 million. Same logic, if you are level 400+, you must be a hacker. If you have millions, you must be a cheater.

If there was a strategy, you'd see a cap once they figure out the limit of what htey can push.

 

IE, everyone bought 2.2MM supers but didn't choose a 800K muscle over a 200K one; or a 200K coupe etc.

 

They know that they need to make supers MORE expensive to thin the herds, but that the threshold is lower for a class with less draw to more people.

 

IE, no one's buying 10MM jets. People are buying 5MM helos. They know if they want to make an exclusive aircraft, they price it between the 5 and 10MM (or more, for rarer).

 

Except, that's all probably just wishful thinking.

I just got it because it literally says opulence. I have it. I just wanted it because I can and it's so expensive people just scoffed at the idea. I don't care, I already have so many other things I could want, why not buy a gold jet?

They are luxury items, why is it expensive? Because they are only available to those that can afford it. Glitchers, glitchers, modders, glitchers, and modders. Basically anyone with a lot of money can afford something that is as pointless as a gold coloured air plane, or a gold coloured helicopter. These luxury items are meant to cater to those that want to mod and glitch an expensive and luxurious lifestyle.

I already have everything so get real. I have plenty left over from this as well as switching around my apartments just to reorganize them on my list and before the rebate. You basically just make up excuses why it's stupid for me to own it when I already said I have everything I really want and I have plenty left over to play with. Like I'm not going to make that back by the time the next update hits... lol. Don't tell me I'm bad with money or stupid when you don't even know my situation, obviously I'm comfortable with it and got it simply because I could. It's just a bonus that people keep bitching about the price and I'm just flying in it loling with the money.

The OP was asking for opinions regarding whether the gold jet's price should be reduced or not. In no way was it implied in the OP that people who already own the jet were to post pictures of it arbitrarily as you had done in your very first post in this thread.
