GTA VI will still probably come out 2018, since RDR came out in 2010, after GTA IV but it didnt impact GTA V's development.

Now can we please get a Red Dead sequel please @RockstarGames?” - @FRYMANATION “So if you’re going to keep making GTA, why not keep making Red Dead Redemption?” -@Austin_Lawson32 It’s wonderful to see so much excitement and enthusiasm for the Red Dead series, and nearly 5 years after Red Dead Redemption’s release(!). As we’ve mentioned when asked in the past about new games in other series such as Red Dead Redemption, Bully and L.A. Noire, we don’t always rush to make sequels, but that does not mean we won’t get to them eventually. We have so many games we want to make and the issue is always one of bandwidth and timing. We thank longtime fans such as yourselves as always for your amazing support and please stay tuned in 2015 for announcements of what’s to come from Rockstar Games. Nick930930
We already know Red Dead Redemption 2 is on its way. Rockstar's probably planning on 2 GTAV story expansions, some cool new online content, and Red Dead Redemption 2. Agent is on the backburner indefinitely, GTAVI is nowhere in sight. GamesBoy316
Uh, remember last year when Rockstar kept saying heists will be out by this date, but ended up being delayed again? Yet again, most of their stuff has always been delayed, but for them to keep promising but never delivering, that's not right.

I don't know about that man, Rockstar's focus is 120% on GTA Online and they won't take their focus and resources off Online for a second. There is no way that GTA V is getting any SP DLC or expansions and Red Dead 2 is probably 2 or 3 years down the road and it will almost certainly be Online only as that is all that matters to Rockstar. I know it doesn't seem to make any sense but everyone needs to understand that Rockstar's obsession with the Online is literally a rabid, foaming at the mouth obsession. They will not take focus off GTA Online for more than a second and they have all of their resources allocated to it. That's almost certainly the main reason why SP DLC for V was scrapped! SmileyBandito
God, I wish GTA 5 just ended. Everyone knows GTA Online is a pretentious, poorly structured grind-fest. I honestly wouldn't care at all if we never saw a GTA Online update after Ill-Gotten Gains 2, it's not like they can pull off anything cooler than generic cars and overpriced hipster clothing. After all this time with no official announcement, the only way I see a story DLC making up for its overdo is if we got a map expansion. I wouldn't be surprised if they canceled story DLC. The last slither of hope was Solo in his motion capture suit on Instagram. Rockstar could probably care less about evolving the singleplayer, they already rushed the campaign for GTA V as it is. slimeball supreme, Killerman29, Official General and 1 other

MyName'sJeff
But when will it be announced. It's July, almost coming to an end, and there's only 5 months left till this year finishes which went pretty f*cking quick. For the past 3-4 months, all they've been doing is sitting on their ass, counting the cash flowing from the shark cards, not giving a single f*ck about single player and even then they've been spouting that same line about a 2015 announcment for a while now. Now if they were already developing the next RDR already and they decide to announce it later so that it shortens the waiting game a fair bit, then kudos, but that is not the most likely scenario at this time. It's more like they announce it on Christmas Day, and tell us that the present we are going to get is the next RDR which comes out in 20-f*cking-20. Alec Skorpio
What if CVG is innocent? Maybe Rockstar treats them like d!cks just like the way they treat their fans. Perhaps Rockstar told CVG they'd have some hot info next week and then gave them the silent treatment like they do with us. It's possible. No, cause they pretty much explained from the get go that all they had was stuff that was discovered here on GTAForums. That's pretty much all GTA Youtubers are now, they're just guys who take the info that is discovered and compiled here on GTAForums, and then spit it out for all the kiddies and the casuals who don't come here. Admittedly, GTA V o'clock at least gives better credit than the others do, but at their core that is still all they have been since they started. Sure they get the odd interview here and there, but other than that it's just going to be stuff we've already discovered. Rule of thumb should basically be that if they mention speculation, it's going to be stuff from GTAForums. If it's officially from Rockstar they're going to make a big point of saying that. And I'm still amazed that people believe that Rockstar not saying anything means that DLC is dead in the water. This is classic f*cking Rockstar behavior. We went a whole year or so without hearing anything about GTA V after it's announcement, we went like 3 or 4 years without hearing anything about Max Payne 3 or LA Noire after their announcements. Rockstar likes to keep their mouths shut until they are ready to release because the few times they haven't kept their mouths shut it's bit them in the ass (Heists being the prime example) Edited July 16, 2015 by Alec Skorpio Dangerous and sad

With Shawn Fonteno making hints towards the DLC, the things people keep finding in the game's files with each update that may have to do with the DLC, I just find it hard to believe that they're throwing all the progress away. With Rockstar's recent track record of constantly delaying things, and taking forever to release stuff like heists, it isn't that hard to believe that they're just behind schedule with the DLC. I mean just in the past few months they finally put out the heists, and caught up with the schedule it seems for GTAO. I think we have a chance to still get the SP DLC at some point in time, and hopefully have some actual crime-related activities. I just wish they would f*ck off with the GTAO updates. We just got Ill-Gotten Gains Parts 1 and 2, and that sort of made sense to have since people are getting tons of money from heists now - but now people are finding more sh*t that might be a lowrider update for GTAO? I mean come the f*ck on, GTAO has been pandered to exclusively - meanwhile it seems like the SP DLC is taking forever because of the focus on GTAO. Rafae
I sincerely doubt the existence of SP DLC at all at this point. Yes, it may have once been a thing but all this time without a single word of it leads me to believe it's been scrapped in favor of expanding the Online world even more. Sad, but true. Releasing an expansion to a game released 2 years ago? Hell 3 by the time they actually decide to release it. Not a chance. Even when they do fully complete it and want to put out, I have a feeling it'll just be put on the backburner because Rockstar Games was just too late. Red Dead's popular enough for them to focus on it. Not everybody at R* works on GTA. A Red Dead Online would be pretty cool though if you can make your own character instead of seeing 100 John Marston's running around. I don't even see how a shark card would work on that, there aren't as many horses as there are cars. Just hope if it does have a MP they don't abandon it like they did with Redemption's, which is completely unplayable again.
