After the ill gotten gains part 2, I discoverd that your kills don't count towards ur kd but your deaths count correctly in deathmatchso. This means that whenever I play death matches my kd will drop. I just finished one with a kill score of 63 to 31 deaths. But when I got back to free mode my kd dropped by 1. Anyone has this stupid problem as well

Let him pretend that he has a reason for his low K/D.

It does affect your K/D ratio correctly and based on the number of kills you mentioned, dropping by 1 is correct. Apparently K/D ratio drops faster than it goes up. Every kill will get you 0,001 K/D ratio. And I believe everytime you are killed, you lose 0,002. This said, and the whole forum will agree with me here, K/D Ratio in GTA Online is somewhat pointless.

u wot m8.

If you have 10 kills and 1 death, dying will reduce your K/D from 10 to 5. It's called a ratio for a reason.

If you care about k/d you are either 12 or play mlg, but since GTA doesn't have mlg, you must be 12.

Logic.

Actually it takes 2 deaths to drop to 5

I noticed this too

In response to others, kills DID count but since the update something has been bugged.

Not at all a reason to stop playing.. unnecessary statistics.. if any.. if I see a player with a high K/D, he's bound to be dropped. (indicates the wrong kind of mindset)

No, maybe I didn't explain enough. Say my K/D is 1.34, I get 10 kills and 1 death, I would still be at 1.34, 0.002 off of that is unoticable as K/D is displayed as 3 digits. Its kind of stupid how it works, but I tested it and apparently thats how it works.

Jimmy De Santa says hello on that as he thinks a high KD ratio mean something.

Don't even get me started on the annoying screen effects and "power player" stuff "oh you are doing good on a deathmatch? too bad here take this annoying screen effect and appear in map for everyone uhh and I almost forget that you take double damage now!"

To all the people who said that I shouldn't care about kd. No kd ratio makes a difference and part of the reason why I like playing gta is killing which means I care about my kd I didn't just buy this game just to drive around in fancy sports car and dress my character like a doll. Kd ratio shows competitiveness. Maybe u guys just don't appreciate killing and death matches cause if u do u will care about ur kd. My kd:1.59 (still needs a lot of work XD)

How higher the KD, how worser the scumbag in general.

Wow, concerning amount of bad math logic here boys.

Whatever ur KD is, if it is less than that in ur next DM, it goes down, if it is more, it goes up, even by just decimals for the OGs, DM vets and psychokillers.

In the unlikely event that OP is not talking nonsense, and his KD did drop by the whole number 1, then it must have been 3 to start with, with a very low kill count.

sh*t man, I play a good amount of CoD and still don't give a flying f*ck about K/D. I like playing objective gametypes, and there's always some assclown who would rather lose the match than play for the objective because he's trying to pad his K/D.

Uh ... you're using k/d to make a decision, so doesn't that make it a necessary statistic for you?
