T20 Cargobob = Best Grief Deterrent

im around rank 200 .. i've never met people who seem to care about the repercussions of insurance costs. maybe after 2-3 times but ppl literally love to blow up the mclaren or the insurgents.

 

too much glitched money in the game - people in every lobby begging. one cheater in every lobby giving away money... i dont think griefing by insurance is a problem for anyone. only for the fair and legit people at best...

This would work but you can't have more than 1 personal vehicle out of storage at a time, so how would someone have both their T-20 and Osiris parked at the gas station?

 

Actually you can have two PVs outside, the first one can't be driven anymore and if someone does not look at it, it despawns. Parking 3-6 cars at a gas station takes about 2-3 minutes, waiting for a bounty hunter in a 20+ player lobby takes two minutes. If you do it right, it makes no difference where the hunter comes from or if he uses a Hydra or not. If he does not use a sniper rifle, he will hit the tank and blow everything up.

You are working way to hard at trying to be a troll. I bet you expect us to believe that this has ever really been pulled off in a public free roam server. Seems like a massive amount of effort that would require more team work than the GTA community would be capable of. I'd fire off a rocket as soon as I saw more than 1 t-20 or Osiris parked together. The pain of losing a few grand out of my 35 million. Damn you trolled me so hard, LOL...... Poor people are so crazy..

 

 

Massive amount of effort? Two friends driving two miles. Fleecas first setup takes more effort.

I think if insurance costs matter to you depends on the platform you are playing on and if your money is legit. I got pretty much everything in the game plus 20 mil, but because it is all legit I`m still greedy and try to avoid destroying my Osiris and T20 by any means. 20k are pretty much for a lot of players, because most of the times, thats all they pay. They are simply broke after blowing up a Osiris/T20 and I doubt they all hand their money to a second character. Next gen free roam lobbies are still full of people who rob stores for their living.

People who keep all money on alts, I report them for "exploiting" when I see that.

 

I did the Cargobob T20 method alot over the weekend as Pegasus was free. Now I just hook it up when I plan on going across the map or am just bored and want to fly

I tried this out for fun when I had a bounty yesterday, and I had a lot of fun. Usually I get shown down in any helicoper within 5 seconds by frustrated squeekers, when im not in passive. This time nobody dared fire a single homing missle, a very surreal experience.

 

They ended up shooting at me with sniper rifles and I had to ditch the heli on a rooftop, ending in a sniper war for about 15 minutes after which I surved the bounty and earned myself a cool 3000 bucks

OP I like the way you think, as a player who has a great love of hellicopters in gta, the homing launcher has been such a pain in my butt. I think this is an amazing idea, and one I shall start using.

 

A bit of helpful information, the helipad at the merryweather dock spawns only buzzards and cargobobs. So you have a 50/50 shot if you don't own one.

 

And to the guy who said

These people are doing this to them selfs. Are we forcing them to pull out there homing launcher and shoot at us? Who's really trying to annoy who here? I swear, even in an unarmed helli almost every time someone happens to span in by me, the little craps ALWAYS shoot me down. It's like leaving candy around a fat kid. They Just can't resist the temptation of the easy (and now costly) kill.

 

I truly hope I start seeing more of this in the gta community.

 

I'm not saying homing launchers aren't annoying. (It's rare, when you can fly normally w/o beeping sounds and I almost never use military vehicles, because they are too easy/lame).

Homing launchers can be debated as 'wrong', but using this method (T20 and Cargobob) is 'wrong' without a doubt, because it's griefing in the pure definition.

Using 1 wrong to compensate another wrong, makes you wrong as well.

personally, I would rather see the homing launcher disappear/

- In case.. I would remove the insurance costs; only when people are parked and/or other situations. You should not have to pay, when you get assaulted by someone. period.

Obviously there shouldn't be any insurance costs, when you lift it up with something like a Cargobob. (doesn't sound quite right for an insurance company to cover those actions)

As the intended purpose of the insurance is completely bypassed by these actions and others.. just removing it all together would be better.

- Remove the homing launcher, completely, but give people earlier access to certain weapons, or nerf the homing launcher & make the ammunation cheaper. (it sounds like a workaround solution anyhow, the homing launcher)

- Decrease costs of all aerial vehicles, especially hydra's jets et cetera. Penalize players for using them during missions and heists.

(mostly because the online modders created an unbalanced economy and because even high rank players can't resist from using 'god-mode' vehicles)

Missions wont be rushed almost every time by jets/heli's, because they'll get penalized (maybe not give those players any RP); it'll get more accesable, so everyone can enjoy it.

But just as conclusion.. the topic starter is basically a griefer himself/herself by the method of cargobob'ing a T20 (it's obivously unintended like that)
