To be honest, I couldn't be asked to drive around San Andreas looking for a Cargobob. More safer in the air? Probably, its just the hastle.

Not A Nice Person

Another "T20 Grief Deterrent" post...it's not. $27.5K is nothing.

You may think you're getting one over on someone, but most of those who are out in Hydras aren't going to care. Have fun, though.

Then don't do it if there's a jet around?? Doy???

Long story short, most people don't care and will happily blow up your T20 while you're busy carrying it around with a Cargobob, feeling smug about yourself while they murder you on the ground.I did this before, immediately went into passive mode after the guy blow my car up, he followed me around everywhere until I left. So I don't really care if you're rich, I'm having fun MYSELF and if you're spending this much time debating it must ruffle your jimmies lol

A Lazer/Hydra flown by an at least semi-competent pilot won't give you time to engage passive. You'd be dead from the first burst of the gun with no warning other than the jet being somewhere around you.

If I seeyou or your T20 your dead. All the extra effort to get a cargobob and all of that will mean nothing. I really love how people think the T20 wont get them killed. And also stop being a pu**y. If you dont want anyone to kill you there is a solo online option ya kno.

The problem however is that it's a malfunctioning gameplay element, introduced by Rockstar. There shouldnt be insurance costs this high, whilest knowing online players' behaviour. (when it's possible to grief/annoy, people -will- 100% grief and annoy.. internet #1 rule)
They should -completely- remove insurance costs as it is now.. (which I also advised quite a while ago)

Why should they be the ones to change anything? They have an experience they want players to have and a way for it to be played, but players insist on everything molding around them instead of actually changing the way they handle situations. It's really stupid to think everything should mold around the players and that people shouldn't change their behaviors for something.

What if they're flying around with the menu up and their finger on the passive button?

People don't have to pay their own insurance if the attacker is broke on Xbox One.

That happens with anything on this forum it seems like. Whether it's who can make realistically an extra 10k over other people or who has the most money or whatever, it's always happening.

I just don't see why people get ultra pissed off and whip out the rulers to start comparing, a lot of people seem to have some sort of superiority complex.

Everyone's always got something to prove or want to feel superior to others and it's stupid. It gets real old any time something comes up and it's "lolol git gud scrub I do bettar like cheddar"

Im Ricky I Win

About ten minutes after I bought the t20 I went to the airport and got a cargobob just to see if someone would blow me up so I could see how much the insurance was. Soon as I left the airport I heard the lock-on, when he blew it up and I saw "has paid 27k" it put a big smile on my face.

Its the game devs job to balance the game and plug any holes used by cheaters and griefers and trolls.

If they fail to do so.. you get really dumb sh*t happening. Like insurance trolls...

Seriously... i can just drive around in the Pro Gen with a stickies on the windows that way, if anyone shoots at me the car goes boom and they pay. Which means i can drive into hostile areas and look for bullets drive into. I can even put NO armor on it, which makes it easier to blow up from just bullets.

That is even worse then flying around with a cargobob.

If you think that insurance wars..and players using insurance as a way to get lulz is not a broken mechanic thats your choice. But some of us think is stupid and want it removed. And in the end,, its stil R* choice.

But R* won't change anything if we all sit there with our fingers in our ass acting like everything is peachy.

So.. I HATE insurance.. Hence i won't pay it if i don't want too.

Best place to find a 'Bob in city 100%? I know one spawns on top of the inner city hospital, but it seems random. Trevor's airfield is too far.

You're not listening. The no money/insurance thing doesn't work that way anymore. If you have no money and blow up someone's car, NO ONE pays for the insurance.

get 2-3 T20s in a mule, then do the same thing.

get 3-4 T20s in the back of the dump truck!

1 rocket/sticky would cost someone over 100k hahaha

now thats a party!

You can have the party even easier.

Get 3-4 T20s, drive to a gas station, park them next to each other and a gas tank, let the 3-4 players call for their Osirises after they left the area, let them come back, let them park the cars and leave again, get a bounty on your head, get in a sh*tty car, drive it on the other side of the gas tank and now: wait for the guy in the Hydra to kill you with a 150k-200k homing missile.

You are working way to hard at trying to be a troll. I bet you expect us to believe that this has ever really been pulled off in a public free roam server. Seems like a massive amount of effort that would require more team work than the GTA community would be capable of. I'd fire off a rocket as soon as I saw more than 1 t-20 or Osiris parked together. The pain of losing a few grand out of my 35 million. Damn you trolled me so hard, LOL...... Poor people are so crazy..

This would work but you can't have more than 1 personal vehicle out of storage at a time, so how would someone have both their T-20 and Osiris parked at the gas station?

My, what a joyous read here. The user who established this as an e-peen contest is so spot on. Much obliged, guys.

In regards to the Pegasus Cargobob, what I'm referring to was indeed the now-defunct Warstock loophole, where you manually typed a URL and this brought up the Cargobob page -- with its own description at that. It was pre-baked and everything.

Why Rockstar hasn't made this available afterwards is beyond me, but damn it all if it isn't a $175,000 well-spent. To those questioning my indulgence of the habit, I'll raise an old point that there's only so much you can do once you've done it all~.

As an aside, I found you can more reliably lift T20s by using the very tip of the hook, not the hook base. Be precise.

While probably too specific to warrant its own thread, I feel this particular thing needs to be stressed. Hard.

Everyone's either singing praises or went up in arms regarding the Progen T20, and it's a funny chemistry. To add more this lot, the title should be self-explanatory as you can essentially become the blaring airhorn that can piss off the more toxic part of the player base. More importantly, it's an aforementioned deterrent -- that, and a genuine 'f*ck you' to the Homing Launcher for leaving amicable aircraft redundant.

Unless they've a compulsive desire to grind, not often will people take to losing that $27,500 lightly -- the squeakers, in particular. Everybody knows how those are, ape mask and all. Granted, there's methods to circumvent this price -- such as setting bounties, but to literally keep around an empty T20 is as much a circumvention itself. Jerry cans could pose a threat, but that'll be all on you should enemies light it.

My recent session bestowed me a bounty, so the Cargobob concept lit in my head. It was hilarious because the instant people saw me flying my super car, they just stood baffled yet wary. Of course, our end result had the masses engage mindless PvP as is traditionally Free Roam... yet to more a serious side, it was really intriguing to serve as a spectator of sorts, minding your own without a reliance of Passive Mode.

However, what really, really sells this stunt is that with every time I've tried, the Cargobob is able to soak just enough explosive damage for you to parachute to safety, cheekily taking in potential reactions whilst Mors Mutual Insurance does work. Sure, people could wise up with the Heavy Sniper, but abating that is just a matter of going down with your helicopter. Crash into something to home in that expensive point.

So yeah, consider trying as a thought experiment; procure yourself that Cargobob through the old Pegasus glitch or a lucky helipad spawn and anchor Progens' work. Compared to lifting other vehicles, I found that you may fight with hooking the T20 a little bit. Peculiar, but not too much a nuisance... so away we go~. Shenanigans will be had one way or another -- whether out or in-game -- so my enjoyment is yours.

Why go to all that effort?

I go into PM on one of the main stretches of downtown in my T20 when there is a tank or jet greifing people. I see a plane making a run and jump out at the last moment. They blow up the car, pay the insurance, I survive. and they don;t get a kill.:lol::lol:

Not sure what game you're playing because most griefers have millions of dollars and don't give a sh*t about your <30k car.

And when I say most, literally no griefer I've come across has thought twice about erasing my Osiris/Zentorno/Adder/Turismo/Stinger.

The Merriweather Pier is a good source for a Cargobob...usually. Buzzards are fun too.
