Wakeman921
on my 3rd character, ive deleted and restarted a few times. the 1st character i hit level 43, 2nd hit 107, and now im at lvl 108. i dont see how people make so much cash, each time i delete a character, i make the new one in another slot and sell everything i own before i delete the main, so i start with a few million. ive never had any pegasus vehicles till now, but my current and only character has about 6, 20+ cars in my 3 garages. which is nothing compared to my friends. i have 500k and i cant make money for the life of me. when gtao first launched me and my friends glitched maybe 20 mil and thought we were set for life, lol. if even. (dumb i know). i legit have a list of crap i want.. (a couple hundred thousand dollars worth if clothes, rhino, valkary, various super cars, a garage upgrade, etc.) any tips on making money? im sick of grinding and i want to have fun playing with my millionaire friends, (thanks to modders). Sneakerhead.
If you are on last gen or PC, try to look for a modder dropping money. If on NG, do Heist and LTS. I recommend grinding fleeca if you want to get money the quickest way, 75k for 20-30mins Edited July 13, 2015 by Sneakerhead.
Wybo76
When i want to make money i play missions. That gives me between 100k en 150k per hour. I did not play a lot of heists, but i heard that is the best way to making money. But a lot of people got money of cheaters, and others buy sharkcards. MrRjenk216
The best way and most fun is an LTS Snipers vs. Stunters. It's really fun and you dont even notice the time. You can get up to 80k in one match. Also doing the Fleeca Job is a good way but you can only play once every hour or so.
Wybo76
I am level 135, played for around 240 hours and made only 9M in all that time... and i do not freeroam much. So, no you are certainly not the only one who does not make that amounts of money. Without cheating or buying money or being extremely good in racing it takes a lot of time. People who makes fun of the amount of cash are (mostly i think) people who used glitches or cheatmodders... I could not easily care less about the opinion of people like that. GTAOnlineAddict123
I suppose you need competent players. If your team isn't good and you're doing all the work, you need to drop them. Whether it's heists or missions, it's a breeze when you find a good crew and everyone puts at least close to an equal amount of effort in. JuZ 75
It's simple enough, don't spend. I'm not trying to be clever but even by starting and restarting you're losing money. Recently I created a 3rd character and have been using her on and off for a bit of a change while playing with my crew, she's only rank 29 but she's already got $500k, just a 6 car garage with an Elegy and a Akuma, both are stock apart from bullet proof tyres, the other slots are for Ballers, Sentinals and anything else I grab to sell. The 1st thing I did was buy the Special Carbine and it's pretty much the only gun she needs, although I have to remember she's not rank 200+ when I arrive at the gunfight! But doing the dailies and just having fun with missions and races (especially this weekend) has boosted her funds quite nicely, so I guess what I'm rambling on about is basically to be frugal and not waste money in freeroam battles and endless colour changes on cars, that sort of thing. Desky
Level 114 here with only 10.3 M lifetime earnings. Also it doesn't help I spend it on buying new 100-300k sports cars all the time. Folks be driving around in T20s and Osirises, aaannddd I'm in my Bullet. (I have a Zentorno, but I look even poorer with one) Doing heist finales the first time is a good way to rack up cash fast. First time bonuses are wonderful. Edited July 13, 2015 by AcidRunner

StangOne50
Gtao money is very easy to come by these days. Ive made well over 25 mill(probably more lost track) since heists came out. The first thing you need to do is stop deleting charachters.(unless you have a second that you are putting your money on before you are deleting these charachters) Stay away from free roam if you want to save money-I can easily lose 300k in a couple hours of free roam. The real money is in heist finales these days. I get invites to them all the time and join when I can. Doing just a few finales a day can get you anywhere from 500k up to 1 million per day. Find friends to do missions and heists with. Stick with what you are good at. If your good at racing you can make a ton of money doing just that, same with death matches, lts etc. Im not sure how the payouts are now but if you are a decent pilot try completing flight school. You can make more if you dont get all golds the first time around too. The more money you spend the less you will have obviously so save your money. I like to buy everything but I have 100 masks and tons of clothes I will never use which were all very expensive. Only buy the stuff you need rather then want, then when you have a decent amount of cash treat yourself but dont go overboard. jazzbone
In gta there are 3 ways to wealth. Money cheating, shark cards or spending the time needed to earn the money. For me i had the time to earn and have not needed cheats or shark cards. When working my way up i worked more than i played. Working and not playing also kept my spending low. Bottom lines is i had a plan. Edited July 13, 2015 by jazzbone dairyworker

Deleting characters causes you to lose 50% of your asset value each time you do it. For example, if you bought three properties for ~1.2 mil, when you delete the character, you'll only get 600k back. Same with each car. Accumulating millions pretty much starts by not spending too much on any one DLC. Once you begin to accumulate, you have a nice buffer for the next DLC. Criminal Mastermind Challenge ($10million) will set you up and isn't even particularly hard. Defender1904 and StangOne50
Claptrap NL
Why do you create and delete characters that many times? Currently I've 2 characters (don't know how to get a 3rd one, spot has a lock on it) and try to save money because I don't wanna spend it on cars I'm not gonna use. On my main I almost got all cars I want (except the many cars I can't get because we only can have 30 max.) and on my 2nd I don't feel like I MUST-BUY this or that car. Happy with what I got and might gonna get me a buzzard but that's it. Just be a bit greedy and only buy what's necesarry. That's how you can get millions. Wakeman921
i dont think anyone really understands the question here.. there are so many things to buy in this game and almost everyone already has it all, which i dont understand how that could be physically possible. i deleted my first character because i thought it would be fun starting from level 1 with a couple million dollars and basic knowledge of the game, (i was already a good shooter then). and i deleted my second character because when i was around level 107 rockstar started some money sweeping/cleaning whatever and i logged in and my character for who knows what reason was black and his face was totally warped. not even the character i created!! so i made anther and later transfered it to xbox one. i think ill just sell my organs. You asked how people carry around millions. You have been told. Very, very, very few people have absolutely everything in the game. For example, currently I have almost 20 mil, only because I've bought the 30 cars, 3 apartments and 20 pegasus vehicles I want. There are hundreds of cars, clothes and vehicles I do not have and won't ever have. I've been playing since day one and earnings have been variable throughout the period I have been playing, but I still have and have always had a lot of $ The ultimate guide to earning money in GTAO is to spend a hell of a lot of time in the game.
