Night Club/Dancing Update:Will it happen in the future update?

The problem is ... what the hell kind of game is GTA:O?

It has elements of so many different games. It's not a true FPS. It's not a true MMO. It's sort-of like the open world element of previous GTA titles, but the online element, the crew system, the microtransactions, etc. steer away from that.

GTA:O is a weird hybrid of a game that has never been seen before, and the cause of so much of the angst in this community.

There are as many people who want this game to be The Sims as there are who want this game to be Call of Duty.

I've honestly never seen a game with this much widespread appeal across the different gaming genres, and as a result there's a ton of division between what people want the game to be, how people approach the game, and what they want to see in future updates.

Well, as someone who has to deal with customer feedback on software on a daily basis professionally, I have two points:

1) End-user feature suggestions are meaningless and irrelevant. If you could argue that bug reports are valuable, because usually the end-user understands all too well how a bug affects them, new functionality requests from them are useless because end-users don't really know what they want. Seriously. It's a really bad idea to implement end-user suggested functionality, even if it is reasonably common among suggestions from your user base, because in 90%+ of the cases you'll spend resources to implement stuff that most people won't use, and that the few people who want it will play with it for a bit before forgetting about it. You're far better off listening to your product manager, assuming he is competent and has a good vision. In other words, Rockstar doesn't listen to our feature requests, and they shouldn't.

2) Even if you, as an end-user, KNOW what you want, please stop and consider if that is what you want above all else. Let's take this "Dancing Update" as an example. Are you sure, that the OP wants this in GTA:O more than anything else? E.g. more than heists and new contact missions? I seriously doubt it.

Now, if the GTA:O team has a good vision of their product's updates is another matter entirely =)

I would agree with you, in part, about the end user. Mostly because the end user asks for dumb sh*t that they have no idea as to how their idea would be implemented or how much work it would take. However, quite a lot of the suggestions from people (including myself) are generally regurgitated ideas from previous GTAs. I've said it before and I'll say it again; if San Andreas, a PS2 game, can have many more activities than this current generation, how can pool, blackjack, poker, roulette, bowling, comedy clubs, NIGHT CLUBS, food outlets, arcade machines, destruction derbies, malls and all the rest NOT be included! Actually, that's kind of a rhetorical question, my point is; if they've done it before, they can do it again. Right? Edited by KrazyFace

Iwould love for them to release an update with a club theme that opens up Bahama Mamas club with of course lots of new clothing for club attire :)

See (2). Implementing any feature takes up development and QA time. You gotta go for what gives you more bang for the buck, and minigames ain't exactly it. As a completely hypothetical situation, what would you like to see more in a GTA:O update: a pack of a dozen minigames or just a single mission creator?
