Oh yeah , great idea , getting more like the Sims improves every game, maybe we could marry each other and live happily ever after by the beach.

That's a great idea! I'm SO glad there are such supportive people out there that they'll add to a thread they care nothing about! SARCASM.

OT: I'd love at least one club to open, the more social stuff they can add the better IMO. Drinkin' and dancin' mini games would be fun. Bit of pool/billiards would be nice too.

But I was being honest, maybe we could have a machine in there so we could play candy crush together, then maybe if all goes well we could get a pet to look after and some new wallpaper for our apartment , and cushions , lots and lots of cushions. Ive got adder bonds for all my cushions so dont worry sweetpea , live the dream.

Well thank you for your honesty! I agree, cushions is what GTAO needs, maybe it's why CoD is getting less popular; serious lack of cushions in that too : )

Im glad you have seen my point of view , now how would you feel about some potpourri shops and maybe some sort of tanning salon ? We could even have a nice day spa for our simettes to relax

You were ok with cushions but potpourri!? I'm sorry you've gone too far. However, since you mention it, a spa/swimming pool wouldn't be such a bad idea lol. Seriously though, and to get back OT, more social places to hang wouldn't be the worst thing to happen to GTAO, would it? Take the amphitheatres for example, a gig going on there would be cool for a bunch of reasons, imagine crashing a Love Fist gig with a rocket launcher...

Now billiards/pool is something that quite a bit more people would want IMO--and fits GTAO better than arm wrestling (which I still can't quite figure out when it changes views all the time).

Only issue with pool though is that it can be even more time consuming than darts or golf...

Lets be honest here, it won't be anything more than a troll spot that nobody will use

How often do people 'use' (not kill inside/around) the strip club?

Tbh I barley see anyone shooting up the strippy nowadays. But I see your point though. It would still be a nice addition to the game though. And I like high pressure situations were I have to react quickly so I would be looking forward to this. ;)

I posted something similar to this in the casino thread just some hours ago, but I don't think I explained my thoughts properly so I might do it in this post since is all somehow the same theme, sort of.

See, I don't really understand how some of people if not the majority of people here thinks that these wonky little features and mini-games would be game changers. I mean what are you supposed to do in a night club at a video game to start with? Dance mini games? Drink? Grind the female NPC asses and have sex with them at the bathroom just like in TBOGT?

That is sort of fun but again is the kind of thing that you do once or twice and then it becomes boring, you might say is not true and you'll genuinely use the feature a lot, but we all know that it won't last for long and everyone will be back at licking shots at each other on free mode, or grinding rooftop fumble. And you know why? Because this game is not second life or the sims no matter how much you wish it is. As much as I like little immersion related features sometimes we gotta realize that this game is Grand Theft Auto, it is meant to be focused in committing in crimes and generally doing things you can't (or maybe i should say shouldn't) do in real life, it is a criminal related sandbox game. Not dancing or going for a couple shots at the bar, that is even a boring novelty to do irl that get worn out after the first 20 times you do it. But yet the forum got a hard on for it as if is the coolest thing on planet.

I'm not trying to hate on it, personally I don't care if they add it or not, but some people in general insists that things like this is what we need, is what we want, is what the game lacks. When in reality is not, is just some wonky feature with very similar aspects to the strip club when it comes down to social aspects (which by the way isn't used that much), which people just want it so much because they don't have it, if it was included in the launch it would be for sure one of these things that only a very small amount of players still do (golf, tennis, motherf*cking darts... or even the cinema).

However like I always say, new content is always welcomed. Although I'd rather if they added things that would add up to the gameplay. Like how about actually new contacts that give you different type of missions? Maybe some new heists, maybe some new pvp mode, I mean you know... things that would add up to the gameplay in a GTA game.

But how about a Beam Machine DLC as well? You know nothing like going for an expresso with your buddies at the local coffee shop, so we can discuss how was our week and our criminal life profits while we take a sip on that coffee. Now that's a good time, isn't it?

This is an opinion, I'm not trying to take a piss on your tastes or whatever.

TBoGT had Maisonette 9, GTA V should've had Bahama Mamas since launch. To answer your question, no, I don't think we'll get it. You should know by now we only get cars, clothes, and weapons in the sh*tty updates.

I don't see any use for a club. Yes, I found the, TBoGT clubs fun, but only for the first few times. Then, I ignorned them. Just like all the other minigames in GTA they're just gimmicks that'll be forgotten even though we all praise clubs like they're something the game needs. Quite frankly, adding a club is like adding another strip club (without all the half naked women). Adding a club to "socialize" and "be yourself" sounds outright foolish. Best bet is to start a club penguin account because that's as much of a passive social area as you can get. GTA is a game about committing crimes to become rich not prance around getting dates, finding true love, getting married, then having children. Some ideas sound good on paper, adding it in would just be a waste of an update.

Well then what would you add the we havent already gotten?

It seems to me the only thing left to add are things like the dancing mingame. Minigames in general. Freemode activities. Etc.

The thing is minigames are mostly ignorned and rarely played. Why add something nobody will do? You can give me the excuse that you'll definitely play it regularly but you'd be lying to yourself. More minigames will only add up to more wasted space. See, most people are interested in what the game offers upfront. Anything else is just ignored by the community. Do you play rally races? Ofcourse not, who the heck plays rally races? There needs to be more focus on what we have already rather than what needs to be added. More additions to gameplay and tweak what's currently not very functional.

Remember that weekend before they changed the missions payoff system and they made missions pay 2x......and everyone was grinding the heck out of rooftop rumble......and there were trolls hanging out at Madrazo's house shooting up people who spawned into free roam from the mission :)

I know i would definitely use the nightclub DLC but I'd also damn sure be scouting out which tall rooftops were near by lol

Picking up on TBoGT theme, maybe they could finally add the Super Drop Diamond into this type of update.

Hum... I'm ok for a night clubdancing DLC, IF and ONLY IF:

Luis Lopez is in business in LS, and where he hires a new Security Chief and will be CJ (back to LS after 20 years in jail: GTA SA was in 90's if I remember).

CJ will meet Franklin in one of the Luis' nightclubs, and they (CJ, Franklin and Luis) will decide to rob the Casino, because CJ need money to get back Groove Street:

  • CJ needs money to buy weapons, corrupts cops and politicians to fund the war against the Ballas in Groove Street,
  • Luis will help because people prefer to go to the Casino rather than nightclubs (or don't have money when they go in the nightclub after they lose their f*cking money at the casino), and because Luis need money to buy another nightclub (lol)... and because, Tony "Gay" Price needs money to stay "invisible".
  • Franklin will help, because the Ballas family become a threat and want "Forum drive" now.. and because he's still a "junior" in the profession and want to become the most famous "Senior" Heister,
  • Michael will help because people prefer to go to the Casino rather than cinema, because it's a Heists expert, and because Michael will still be indebted again... after he loses all his money .. in the Casino (and because Tracey and Jimmy need to have a job, while Luis need to hire some "young" adults for these nightclubs),
  • And Trevor will help, just for the fun (and because his mom, is in love with the manager of the Casino).

For the rest of this "Back to the Groove" DLC, as I said on another thread, CJ will buy the apartments building near Little Seoul, and will finish the construction. And In GTA Online we can buy a new apartment & garage, and the T-Shirt "CJ, our savior".

That's all!

(lol)

Not A Nice Person

Gta is not the sims dudebro

Doing nothing but killing people in freeroam is pretty lame now (except to dudebros), the reason most people don't visit the strip club is there's nothing to do, at all, but watch virtual tits and drink whiskey. Now if they add a nightclub you could dance to music the dj plays, add a song vote or something, and you can dance and bring npc's to the bathroom. It'll be a chill atmosphere (but to dudebros that'll make the game too much like the Sims dudebros don't like chill, you have to kill not chill!!). The interior is in the game, R* can just open the door, add npcs while adding the hiests dudrbros want so desperately. Edited by Sayuri

OP, you just don't get what the game is about. Who wants to f*cking dance in GTA:O, for f*ck's sake?

I'll tell you what the game DESPERATELY needs - a Cook-Off Update! Featuring:

- New weapons! Butcher Knife and Frying Pan.
- Chef outfits!
- Cook-offs in your friends' apartments!
- New game mode: Iron Chef! Determine the best cook in Los Santos! Go Standard for a pure haute cuisine experience, or go for GTA (Grand Theft Aperitif) mode, where you can slice and dice opposing cooks and steal their ingredients for bonus $ and RP!
- New Vehicles! Now you can sell your food from 20 different Taco Van reskins!
- Snapmatic contest! Share your culinary abominations with the world for a 1M $GTA prize!

...

Just to showcase how a consistent idea with consistent features can be utterly f*cking ridiculous. "Dancing Update"... :facedesk:

The problem is ... what the hell kind of game is GTA:O?

It has elements of so many different games. It's not a true FPS. It's not a true MMO. It's sort-of like the open world element of previous GTA titles, but the online element, the crew system, the microtransactions, etc. steer away from that.

GTA:O is a weird hybrid of a game that has never been seen before, and the cause of so much of the angst in this community.

There are as many people who want this game to be The Sims as there are who want this game to be Call of Duty.

I've honestly never seen a game with this much widespread appeal across the different gaming genres, and as a result there's a ton of division between what people want the game to be, how people approach the game, and what they want to see in future updates.

Well, as someone who has to deal with customer feedback on software on a daily basis professionally, I have two points:

1) End-user feature suggestions are meaningless and irrelevant. If you could argue that bug reports are valuable, because usually the end-user understands all too well how a bug affects them, new functionality requests from them are useless because end-users don't really know what they want. Seriously. It's a really bad idea to implement end-user suggested functionality, even if it is reasonably common among suggestions from your user base, because in 90%+ of the cases you'll spend resources to implement stuff that most people won't use, and that the few people who want it will play with it for a bit before forgetting about it. You're far better off listening to your product manager, assuming he is competent and has a good vision. In other words, Rockstar doesn't listen to our feature requests, and they shouldn't.

2) Even if you, as an end-user, KNOW what you want, please stop and consider if that is what you want above all else. Let's take this "Dancing Update" as an example. Are you sure, that the OP wants this in GTA:O more than anything else? E.g. more than heists and new contact missions? I seriously doubt it.

Now, if the GTA:O team has a good vision of their product's updates is another matter entirely =)

I want to refrain from sarcasm, so much players here basically say "this is a deathmatch and military game, peaceful activities are for homosexuals, what is wrong with you", etc.

Sure, i wouldn't suggest a nightclub for CoD - but GTA is a game series about criminals and criminal activities.

Do you know why i avoid some bigger nightclubs, apart from expensive drinks, bad service and sticky floors covered with broken glasses?

Depending on bouncers, these crowded places can thrive with drugs, shady characters and ocassional brawl and knife stabbing.

If THAT is not a part of GTA, i don't know.

Nightclubs just belong to GTA.

What kind of gameplay can such an update bring? I just skimmed through the thread, but the only gameplay I saw people suggesting is a dancing mini-game.

I'll give you this, though: if we are talking about an IllGGy-like weapons/cars/clothes/tattoos update, Night Club is a solid concept.

Well, there was this leak today - they say that the next update's codename is LOW (the previous one's was LUXE). So this can mean, that we might get lowriders.

On the other hand, it can be Hobo With A Shotgun: The Update. It's all speculation.
