Modded accounts need to stop

Rockstar really need to up their game and stop these modded accounts. People can get billions of gta dollars, modded combat rolls (much faster than ordinary), no recoil, infinite snacks and armour. Who knows what else they can get but those are ones I've had confirmed by someone who has done it themselves. It seems as though they do the modding on PS3 and transfer the character over and the mods carry over too. Instead of patching harmless things like putting glasses on top of a mask or something like that, maybe Rockstar should concentrate on players who are cheating.

ive always wanted this also, although, i respect your opinion, i would accept it and be happy like the rest of my crew simply because it is a game that i rarely play to relax and i would like to enjoy it with my friends so i dont have to play it like its my day job you know what i mean? I don't have a problem with anyone who has things like infinite money. I can totally understand why anyone would do that, but the modded rolls and things like that annoy me when people go into combat with other players and it gives them an illegal advantage.

I sometimes wish that I had infinite money but for the most part I don't. I mean, I can see the fun in having it but it is also fun, for me, to grind money to get what I want. That way, it feels more rewarding to me. I do heists and missions daily so I make a pretty good amount of money. However, I usually lose most of that money due to the ridiculous prices of everything in GTAO.

 

The reason why Rockstar is so against money glitches and modded money is because of shark cards. If everyone did money glitches and got modded money, Rockstar would lose out on shark cards sales. So yeah, they will always be against "illegal" money as long as shark cards are around. Although, since we are suppose to be criminals, isn't it suppose to be okay for us to have "illegal" money?

 

Since I'm a cheap ass, I will never spend real life money to get virtual money to spend on a virtual vehicle unless I absolutely have no time to grind for money. Right now, I have plenty of time.... until I get a job.

If they find your character modded. Automatically blow up their character whenever they move. If they leave Online they get permanently banned.

Rockstar just has no logic when it comes to this stuff. It's the same way on the consoles. They ban their account on GTA Online, but the idiots can get right back on to GTA Online and cheating within a few minutes just by creating a new account. Rockstar seriously needs to work with Sony and Microsoft on the consoles and when they ban the cheaters, Sony and Microsoft also need to step in and console ban them and username/gamertag ban them as well. Same with PC, they need to work with Steam and like you said ban them that way as well.

 

as is, every server on last gen is just a complete mess with modding and hacking taking place, then on next gen there is already two, possibly three god mode exploit, and before we know it that will also be out of control, and PC seems to be in the same boat.

Just adding this in, some mods can remove your bad sport/cheat timer and you go back to normal lobbies. Similarly you can remove reports against you before they get sent to the server (and see who reported you).

 

So they go well beyond modding stats now.

since most legit people now days don't have more than a few hundred thousand, R* should just do a money wipe. and i expect it to happen after the modders are cleared up. i have 3 mill. and was given 20 mill before. but i grinded a little from 1.5 mill to get to my 3.2 mill. and no matter how stupid it sounds, i wouldn't mind if R* wiped everyone's money. we need a fresh start in this game once it hit it's peak performance. i wouldn't mind having my character deleted either. with the state of the game, every cocky, rich, asshole in this game needs to experience what it's like to be that newb again. that way everything can be balanced. it would suck to lose all of my awesome stuff, but if it was beneficial to the community as a whole, i wouldn't mind. (character resets would be a little far, but we need balance in this game. in the economy, and in the attitude of the players. if everyone worked hard for their money in this game, you wouldn't get blown up by randoms nearly as much. jets wouldn't be as popular either.)

Just no. You realize how many people you would lose because they would have to start from the beginning not by their choice?

 

I have 25 days playing time in this game, I'm not even close to the top of the food chain in that regard, I absolutely love this game and I'd be done. If I wanted to be a newb again, I'd delete my second character and start from scratch. Seeing I haven't done that, I don't think R* should decide that for me.

 

Also, if you're going to make an outlandish claim you should probably make sure you don't fall into the target of that claim. Kinda writes a bad story for your opinion.

R* should fix this sh*t as soon as possible and send all modded accs to the cheater pool.

Modding isnt hurting you, thats teh thing about GTA O with the exception of ability hacks, money and the like is completely irrelevant to you. All I see is jealousy and people with actually believe that working in a video game, is the right way to go!! Most of these people have never bought a video game or paid a bill, never had to work for anything...

 

Wait till ya gotta put in your 40 hours, to pay 40 dollars so you can work another 40 hours for some fake sh** in a video game....then come back and remind me why virtual integrity (especially in a game the hardly promotes integrity) is so important...

A poster up a few there mentioned that he in fact did not mod anything, though someone else did mod something for him even though he didnt ask...Should he also be punished then? Who do you punish? Everyone? So if I come and mod your account, right now and then turn you in for having a modded account, you would be ok with the ban hammer falling on you?

 

You guys need to actually stop and think about what you are saying....I know a lot of guys been hammered for nothing more than joining the wrong session. They could not have been happier. Keep selling your soul to a game though...

it affects (not effects) other players because you would be able for instance to spam explosives, buy expensive weapons and armed vehicles which gives you an unfair advantage in fights compared to others (especially lower levels but not only) who don't have enough money and have to save their money instead of wasting it.

also you can buy expensive cars and mod them to the max which gives you unfair advantages in races compared to other players who cannot afford that without any modded money.

 

and all these kind of advantages (modded) are unfair compared to those without modded money who have to earn all of this themselves to be competetive!

so don't say that modded money doesn't affect anyone else.

only in sp it wouldn't affect anyone else.

If they complain about working too long because they can't play GTA they shouldn't be a gamer in the first place. Life doesn't revolve around computer games. The reason you have a job is to put bloody food on the table. Modding the game would just show how selfish you are. Unless you have a car to a friend or enough money to get something you really want.

 

The reason modding hurts players is in PvP. Having infinite money just means you can spam explosives all day when the other player has just had their battle picked for them, does not have the money to combat it. I suppose they could leave but competitive players never quit until they at least get even or one up on kills. Then the opponent can't say that he won.
