For example it said you could do police missions on a coast guard boat. Prices for buying some property are wrong. What the hell is this sh*t?!? Comment on what you think of the guide. jonnyo Posted January 19, 2003 Share Posted January 19, 2003 yeah its crap i burrowed it off a mate and he got it for £9.99 and when your trying to do the unique jumps on page 167 for washington beach, pic's 23 and 24 are compleatly the same and it dosent explane its self very well with its direction,cos it says south and you find out an hour later its north, your proberly better off looking for a decent walkthrouh on Gamefaqs.com insted of going out a wasting £9.99 or $14.99 (as it says on the bk thats proberly wrong to.) the only thing i liked about it is that is thats it pictures all most every think and it lists all the cars.... but its still sh*t............ just noticed somethink in the book on page 63 (copland) thay have put a pic of a cop car in there but its white and green but then on the nx page its blak and green. go take a look pg 63 and 64. When I was having trouble with "Keep Your Friends Close.." the best advice it could offer me was to "wait in my office and eventually storm the main room" Thats not very helpful at all. Bradygames guides are usually bottom-of-the-line guides, they first of all write it based on a beta (bad move in my opinion) and they don't even proofread it for errors and the such. Next, they give it an insane price tag of about 15.00 to 20.00 (American dollars). Their fighting game guides (UMK3 arcade comes to mind here) lack all of the moves, combos, and methods of unlocking secrets. The games like GTA3 VC that they make guides for usually have misprints and like you said, images used for different situations but they are the same image.. Don't buy Bradygames guides, I'm sure that your little friend GAMEFAQS.COM has something of a much better quality. Maybe no pictures, but a helluva lotta descriptions of the crap and the author actually proofreads it! Oh, and as long as you don't buy it (my little brother got it from my aunt) then I'd say that's okay. A waste of money, still. I only found the... Nothing useful in it. I figured everything out on my own, basically. That and websites were my main sources. Free sources too! But the maps are pretty damn nice to have, that's one thing I like about the guide.
