BoringPedsDumbCops
I want to use the Better Police mod, can I not just have two separate installs or something? This sucks, screw you Rockstar. Just give us the option to separate our single player and multiplayer files instead of holding the modding community back. This is ridiculous. But that's exactly what they're doing, they're wrongfully banning people who just want to have fun! How about restricting 'mod users' into all joining the same "cheat" servers until they take the mods off? Banning is just a step too far.

BBHD
Best way is.. make a copy of your entire game repertory. Keep one for SP and the other one for MP ... that's it ! Edited July 12, 2015 by BBHD

oCrapaCreeper
You can't get banned for using mods in SP. If you never log in to Online with mods you'll never be banned. Anyone telling you otherwise is spewing bullsh*t or trying to look innocent because they actually did cheat in Online. GTASA1992
Formerly R* will ban any players for using SP mods, but now they said that players won't be banned for SP mods. So you don't have to worry about online ban just because of SP mods. And for additional notes, no one has been banned for SP mods.

But if it was some trainer, I don't give a sh*t if it was an accident lol, i want that street cat banned permanently.
Goukou
the problem that OP is having is that his mod affects the game files. it can't just be turned on and off. its always on. its on for SP and its on for MP. the only two solutions would be to have 2 separate installs, one modded any way you want and ONLY ever use that for SP and a 2nd vanilla install for MP... option 2 is don't use mods at all. I know that neither option is what you are after, but there isn't really anything that can be done.
Wheatley
Use Bilago's Mod Manager if you don't want to get banned. He made it so that you can play Online safely without getting banned. The Mod Manager "Symlinks" the files - this means it places them into your GTA V folder then removes them once you quit the game, the files are never in the folder but actually in a folder in "My Documents". It also has an option for going onto Online by not placing any Mod files in your GTA V directory and pulls any of them out that it can detect. This also works for RPF files too - you can have multiple different modded RPF files and when you go Online it will swap the Modded RPF file for the Vanilla RPF file - meaning you won't get banned. You can grab it here: https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/gtav-mod-manager Read the instructions carefully - especially for the RPF file option (back the original RPF files up first and always use "Copy and Paste" to transfer them). It may take a while but it's definitely worth it. Edited August 1, 2015 by Wheatley UltraGizmo64
