hugh750 Posted July 12, 2015 Share Posted July 12, 2015 (edited) today as franklin i had a npc at the you tool try to jack my karen intruder (which i fully upgraded it and gave it a nice red metallic paintjob) after i did a stranger and freaks event near you tool i drove into you tool's parking lot and a npc tried to jack my car about 3 times on the third time i ran him down and killed him. that was the first time i ever had a npc jack my car in a gta game since gta san andreas. Didn't even think that was possible for NPC's in this game. It's a rare event, happened to me like three or four times on PS4. I really like it, even when it can be annoying if you get your expensive car stolen, but it's just one of those little things that make the world feel alive. Some asshole once stole my car when I was playing as Trevor in Little Seoul. I shot at him and that caused the Kkangpae to get hostile towards me and it all ended in a shootout with Trevor killing a bunch of koreans and then fleeing from the cops. Epic moment. And there was a more recent event where a guy almost stole my Osiris. He was apparently running towards the door of my car so I quickly jumped into my car. He then stood still, said "Whatever" and walked away. I personally like it that they can do that. OT: Get my car back. Went in, did my thing. Came out and some dude drove away in my car I can see when it happens, Its most likely a bug, or a strict implemented routine. NPC's only take cars which are parked on parking places on which NPC's will also park. Meaning they dont notice it is YOUR CAR but most likely think its just a car and drive away with it. Many times the NPC will suddenly stop at certain point, and just sitting in a car while other times leave the car and start walking. I don't kill them to avoid the cops but patiently follow them for the right moment when they come to a complete stop and I get my car back easily. It's some sort of AI evolution. I was playing as Michael and went and had a drink with Trevor at the local bar when suddenly this dude comes up and pulls me outta the car. I don't know if he wanted to fight me or Jack my ride. Npc's would hold on to the cars door and be dragged across the whole city if you were carefull. Now they just hold for a little bit and fall of immediately.
