Zombies or Vampire DLC?

I totally understand the resistance to zombies in this thread but, in my head, LS is actually a pretty cool place for it as an additional mode; during the day the entire city could be empty, you'd have to smash shop windows to get guns/food/armour then at night, well, let's say you'd have to have found a decent place to hold off the dead until sunrise. Clock towers, off shore islands, hidden caves, LS has some cool places for a zombie stand-off.

Vampires I'm not sure how they'd work.

Personally, something more like Escape from LS would be wicked; the main city gets walled off with everyone spawning inside the perimeter while the NPCs get armed with *fair* weapons and it's up to the individual to either team up with others or try getting out solo Pliskin style.

Oh and eyepatches and mullets would be mandatory lol

Would love to have some vampire clothes and hairstyles like the ones from the series Castlevania, but i prefer a zombie mode where all the players had to survive in the city for 10 days or something. Yeah it is part of my dream, but WHO KNOWS?

Dear God NO! Neither Zombies nor Vampires fit comfortably into the milieu of GTA. Aliens OTOH could just about fit.

I disagree with OP. But to be fair, it seems that it is a recent trend when someone starts a thread, someone has to go out of their way to make a "clever" remark...just to get likes? You gotta be kidding me.

No thanks OP, I agree with the other people who said no, besides you can play other games that include Zombies or Vampire's.

Or even both like Skyrim.

I'd be all too stoked for a Zombie DLC! But in order to make it realistic, they would have to re-texture/skin many of the buildings to give them that whole post apocalyptic feel! ;)

None, but if I had to choose, then Zombies.

Zombies is overused to the point where it's just plain boring and Vampires... I can't take them seriously after the Twilight franchise

Zombies but only if they're done right. Slow, only headshots count for anything, and hordes and hordes of them. I feel zombies get a bad rap because people make terrible zombie games. The concept of zombies is still great in my eyes even though it's a dead horse beaten to pink slime at this point. It's not the zombies' fault though.

The Escape from LS idea is cool too though. Nearly brainless mobs armed mostly with melee weapons but some guns among them, fight amongst themselves like orcs. Lots of enemies with molotovs and lots of chaos. Traffic is minimal but hostile. Fort Zancudo is over-run and like an outlaw HQ. Tanks covered in graffiti. Could be pretty cool.

Harder to envision vampires but I always want to see a werewolf when the moon is full. sh*t I'd take anything.

But post-apocalyptic LS, Zombie version or Escape from LS/Mad Max version: I'm down. It'd be great.

None.

GTA has never been a game about fantasy sh*t, it's a parody of many things but definitely not those.

Plus they're over-used and tired cultural tropes that quite frankly deserve ridicule rather than being part of the game..

I want to play GTA not fücking Twilight.

I know like those conspiracy nuts who claim there are UFOs in GTA! /sarc

You can argue a lot of things and whether fantasy sh*t is cool or not or whatever but you can't say GTA is never unrealistic. In GTAIII you could take drugs to slow time and punch people 60 feet in the air. In San Andreas you flew RC planes that dropped bombs and broke into Area 51. GTA5 is probably the most ridiculous.

Plus you could've said the same about RDR yet they added Sasquatch and zombies. If anything RDR is way more serious than GTA.

People can say one idea or the other is stupid but I don't think you can say it's " un-R* " or " un-GTA. "

I think it's more in what it parodies though.. It's a cultural parody and it hits many targets.. turning it into a very specific parody of something, which like I say has been done to death *boom tish*, would ruin it.

Sometimes the most effective parodies are those that are so close to real life that it's hard to distinguish between the two...

Plus it'd show a remarkable lack of imagination on behalf of R* to do something like that..

Even thinking about the DLC for GTA IV, both of those played on contemporary themes i.e biker gangs and the gay scene/clubs/drugs etc.

You could say, if GTA is holding a mirror up to society, what would be the point in holding it up to something with no reflection in the first place??

:D

That's a fair point. TBH I was just expecting you to tell me to go f*ck myself, lol. I see what you mean though.

Edit: Nice old school vampire joke, btw.

It really makes one wonder, just how R* would need to go in order to implement a Zombie DLC...And perhaps the more pressing question, with the upcoming single player DLC, would it even be worth it to allocate the necessary resources?!

It would certainly be fun though! :p

Is that all children nowadays care about is zombies vampires and other sci fi crap?

If I ever get the Dawnguard DLC for Skyrim I will join the Dawnguards just to get rid of vampires.

Zombies can go f*ck themselves.

If R* released a DLC for GTAV similar to RDR undead nightmare, involving the 3 main protagonists. I'd totally pay for it. So zombies

I'm seeing a lot of "no" but no reasons. Care to add on why?

Because NPC vampires being to keep up with cars is retarded. You need to tell us what you want and how you want it implemented, if you won't explain yourself, why should we?
