GTA Online Future DLC Ideas/Timeline Theory

After the Ill Gotten Gains Updates, I wondered what is next for GTA Online? I quickly became interested in future ideas and created a timeline for my predictions:

 

July 8, 2015: Ill Gotten Gains Part 2

 

August 2015:
Mansion/Casino Update -Probably the two most wanted things in GTA V right now, I think that Rockstar will finally open the casino and give players the ability to purchase mansions. Most people thought that this would be released with the IGG, but I think that this is so big that Rockstar will make it into it's own dlc. It fits well with the story line of the IGG. The criminals of Los Santos are extremely rich and the stock of mansions is rising. It will give the people of Los Santos a luxurious life, and the Casino will add to their large amounts of money. One reason why I think that mansions will be coming is because of the key codes found at the front of them. They are the same key pads found at apartments, so I think that Rockstar has intentions of giving the community the ability to purchase these homes.

A reason why I believe that Rockstar has been striking Youtubers posting money glitches and exploits is because they're trying to prepare the economy for something like a Casino. Adding something like this could be abused with money glitches and I believe Rockstar wants to prevent the Casino from just being a place for players to get unlimited money. Now, the casino in real life Los Angeles was actually taken down recently, but Rockstar didn't just put it in GTA to be a land site. At the front of it there has been a big banner saying "Opening soon", and I believe that it will come very soon.

If this dlc were to come out it would change the idea of a dlc being new cars, guns, clothing, and its a wrap. I think the whole community would applaud Rockstar and it would bring a lot of life back in GTA Online. It would be something different.

October 2015:
Stunt Racing/Off-road DLC -This update will add a new game mode called Stunt Races into online. This game mode was found in the files and I believe Rockstar will add it soon. It would also be a Rural/Off-road Cowboy kind of update. Adding to the class of Off-road vehicles will be good for the game. Maybe some new dirt bikes and monster trucks to use in a new mode which leads me to my next idea. A demo derby mode where players can have the up most fun in the Maze Bank Arena. The interiors of the arena was actually found in the game files and I believe it will be opened up for demolition derbies.


Once again Rockstar would be opening a big thing in Los Santos, and I think that the community would be extremely happy with GTA if this would occur.

November 2015:
Skating/Surfer Update -Like a Beach Bum and Hipster Update 2.0 combined, this dlc would add the skateboard to GTA to use in the game mode "Stunt Races". As well as the surf board and the Yacht to make the oceans of Los Santos more attractable.


December 2015:
Holiday Special 2.0 -Everyone loves the holiday updates and event weekends that Rockstar has, and this would be a nice special to have during the holiday season.

February 2016:
Valentines Day Special 2.0 -Being two years since the first v-day update, this will bring back the Roosevelt and other new content that players weren't able to purchase.

March 2016:
Cops n Crooks/Low rider Update -The most popular game mode in GTA IV, cops n robbers will come to GTA V. A lot of the community has asked for this mode to return and it will finally arrive in 2016.

I also think it would be awesome if players could purchase the police uniform, and have the ability to purchase Police vehicles and store them in garages.

Also, some new low rider/gang cars. This will be so hyped up that players will be in this game mode for hours.

July 2016:
Independence Day Special 2.0 -Being a long time since a major dlc, I think Rockstar will give us new content for independence day. This will be a satisfying update before a major dlc is released...

July 2016:
Heists Update 2.0 -Rockstar recently stated that new heists wouldn't be coming for a while because they take a long time to develop. I think well over a year since the first heist update is enough time for Rockstar to be able to create 5 new heist missions.

The players of GTA can't resist the temptation of getting more tons of money from criminal activity, and they return to their old ways. Also some new army combat air crafts and vehicles to be added.

October 2016:
Ill Gotten Gains Part 3 - A sequel to IGG, players have become rich from their high level criminal activity. New "toys" for the wealthy population like cars, guns, and high end clothing.

November 2016:
STORY MODE DLC -This will be the highly anticipated story mode dlc that I think will continue the story of the three protagonists. Rockstar could do so many things with this dlc. For example, the story of Franklin, Michael, and Trevor before everything happened.

Or a dlc where Franklin takes back Grove Street. A dlc introducing entirely new characters, or telling the story of a side character like Lamar. Whatever Rockstar decides on, I think it will still be epic!

January 2017:
Night Club/Dancing Update -Opening up the Bahama Mamas Night Club in free mode would satisfy the whole community.

As well as dancing in the night club and a different style of clothes.


April 2017:
Formula 1 Racing DLC -If this were to be added into online, I think that GTA V should be considered one of the best video games ever. Adding a new class of formula 1 cars and new races.

As well as racing suits and a game mode. It would be one the greatest updates of GTA Online.

June 2017:
High Life Update 2.0 - About 3 years since the first High Life Update, it would add some epic high end vehicles, guns, clothing, and new features.

August 2017:
Sports DLC -Adding new mini-game sports like basketball and sand volleyball, this would be the ultimate sporty update to wrap up summer 2017. Also, a great feature to add is this DLC is the option to go to the weight room with Brucie and enhance your characters body type. Just like GTA San Andreas, your character can have the biggest muscles possible.

*This is the last update for GTA V Online

LATE 2017:
ANNOUNCEMENT OF GTA V1 -A teaser trailer and announcement of the new location for GTA 6. Personally, I think GTA VI will be the return to Vice City. They could also have San Fierro in the 1970's, North Yankton, or introduce a totally new world. Wherever it is, it will be hyped up so much that Rockstar will make some big money off of GTA 6.


MID-LATE 2018:
RELEASE OF GTA V1: RETURN TO VICE CITY - Five years after the release of GTA V, and about a year after the first trailer, gta 6 will be released. Starting a whole new generation.

I kinda like this but I would take out the Mansions and Valentines.

 

1.Mansions just aren't happening IMO

 

2.Valentines (As far as I recall) had a glitch that rendered the Interaction Menu useless,and im sure we don't want that to happen

Formula 1 DLC would be stupid, the cars in this game already handle and brake way too good as it is, the F1 cars would feel plain silly. That and they would look ridiculous being crashed into poles and driven on curbs.

 

I would much prefer a racing DLC to include more racing variants of the sports class cars that have been re-balanced, like the Coquette, Comet, Feltzer, and so on. I'd also like to see more optional liveries for the race cars, maybe 2 alternates or something per car would be good, and the ability to change the number on them.

 

It would also include racing suits in various patterns, from generic ones to manufacturer oriented ones, new longer barrier props (so you can block off more without using up your prop count as fast), and would make GTA races and stunt races their own separate modes, as well as defaulting catchup and slipstream to "off."

I don't want GTA VI to return to Vice City, all of the HD games have been contemporary and theres no reason to change that. Vice City in the modern day has nothing appealing; Miami is just dirty, full of trashy people and eh these days.

 

You know where GTA VI should go? Washington, DC. Its never been done in a GTA game, and it needs to be. For the satire of American culture and consumerism, R* needs to do the nations capital. Its a great city, full of diverse people and neighborhoods; you have the politicians on the Mall, the tourists, various gangs, the Chinese in Chinatown, Russian mobsters, the government, corporations. Its not a big city, yes, but I figure it could be like GTA V: the city, maybe even the nearby cities of Baltimore and Annapolis, and then the surrounding mountains, valleys, wilderness and beaches. The area around DC is diverse, and perfect to roam around in.

Its wishful thinking, this thread, but I doubt R* will continue supporting Online that long. Odds are, they'll stop after another year or year and a half, and devote all of their energy to GTA VI or their next project.
