Lethal Vaccine
So I have been deleting long ass quotes for at least 15 months I been on this Forum when I make a reply to someone. Â Now? I can't do it anymore since today. Yesterday I was able, as well as my entire time I joined here, and today I can't. Â So instead of a simple comment made to a user, I am forced to quote the long dumb quote train and add in just a sentence. Â Why can't I remove the unnecessary quote train and make the posts smaller? Afterall, it's all about being efficient and making everything look neat. Instead, now I have to scroll 5x more down each page topic, just to read a lousy sentence out of the entire block of text? Â So, what happened? I can't be the only one noticing this... Solution Andreas Posted July 11, 2015 Solution Share Posted July 11, 2015 (edited) So, what happened? I can't be the only one noticing this...Have you tried switching between the rich and plain editor when editing quotes? There is no reason for it not to work now. Perhaps quote this post and we will see if anything really changed. Try to only quote my reply, not the quote within it. Lethal Vaccine
Â Â This is what happens. I can delete my text, but not anything else. Â EDIT: Now it appears to be working? Wtf Edited July 11, 2015 by Militia
Lethal Vaccine
Ok, it's not working. I can explain myself better this time. Â Ok, Andreas, that is just YOU saying something. What if you quoted me, and then I quoted back. THAT is the problem. It's when there is multiple user quotes in the wall of text when it doesn't allow me to delete all the nonsense in the middle. I always delete it in the past, but now it's not working since this morning.

Or what I just quoted can't be removed, making you have to make a long quote train? Edited July 11, 2015 by GamesBoy316

For some reason when I highlight everything, I still see the other Usernames, but when I actually hit the button to post it, THEN it's removed. It was very misleading to me and I thought I couldn't delete the extra quotes in the middle, but now it's working. Girish
Switch to the plain editor when editing quotes and then switch back to the rich editor when you're done. If you messed up, you'll know. You can then go back to the plain editor and correct the quotes.
