In addition, you have no need to worry about any action being taken against your account as long as you yourself did not take part in any cheating/modding. I didn't ask the modder for it but neither did I tell him to stop. I just stood there like "wtf is happening" cause it was my first time being shot at with a money-minigun. My current ban is my first one (two weeks). It's being lifted on 15th July. I put the money in my bank account, so that the sweep could remove it. However, I did something stupid - keep on reading below. Spend that money. That is by no means a good idea. Apart from that 17 mil I received, I had roughly 550k in my bank. I didn't play for a couple of days after getting the money, and after coming back to the game I decided to buy a Monroe, which is 490k. I remembered that I could afford it with my legitimate money so I bought it. BUT I got carried away and I upgraded the car in Los Santos Customs right away after it being delivered, obviously spending some of the modded money. Only after the fact, I was like "what did I just do?". I think it was on that day that I got banned. So a word of advice from someone with experience: I wouldn't recommend spending money you received from a modder. You have a good chance of getting banned that way. They even said it, if you have your profile on private, and you send a ticket for something, they ask you to make change the privacy settings so they can look at it. They're only shooting 40grand a pop, some of those will miss if you're just "standing still like a moron", even if you move to loot the missed bag of cash. That happened to me being shot by money bag gun and getting rained by money bag and it still took at least 40secs to 1min per 1 mil. So if you get 17Mil, you're standing there pretty long absorbing the modded cash and you know what's up. Hey, I'm not judging you, whether your reason is greed or innocence. I am(or better I was) Platin Member on Rockstar Support board since 2013 and the original release of V. I saw a lot of people their who complained about a lot of glitches or hackers. I am(or better I was) Platin Member on Rockstar Support board since 2013 and the original release of V. I saw a lot of people their who complained about a lot of glitches or hackers. And I also saw after a year people coming to complain that they got banned for something they did months ago. And still got banned. Welp, I have been playing since I got my copy on the midnight release for ps3, now on PS4 and PC, have not been banned for any modded money. Goukou Posted August 1, 2015 Share Posted August 1, 2015 the best thing to do is to contact R*. you need to report the player that hacked your account (or dumped cash on you). in my experience, R* will let you keep the money and close the case. you will not be banned. that is, providing you report the person who was hacking. if you don't report, then they could just as easily assume that you consented to receiving the money from the hacker in the first place. secondly, i'm surpised this thread hasn't been locked. telling people that you gain from hacking is surely against the Ts&Cs. I think getting banned could also depend on your level/playtime because if you are level 10 with millions of dollars it will cause some red flags.
