Is this a dick move?

I've started using a tactic in Free Roam lately if someone is acting like a douche, be that on the mic or just playing like a tool.

 

• Have 1 or more friends with you.
• Agitate the target into a 1v1 deathmatch.
• Avoid the target while your team of friends snipe the sh*t out of him.

Now, this works because of the way the radar is limited to show the 2 combatants only each other's radar blips. All other players are not marked on the map. However, the combatants still appear on everyone else's maps. This means you can use cover to avoid the troll, and until he manages to make it out of the area (difficult when a group of people have you surrounded with Heavy Snipes), he'll get mangled repeatedly before he escapes... or leaves.

 

So, what do you think? Is it a dick move to abuse the system this way, or do trolls deserve all they get?

Lol I do this but when I do it my friends like to humiliate him by going up behind him and beating him up with brass knuckles or any melee weapon. But if it starts happening to me I just quit the deathmatch.

I think it's an overly elaborate way of extracting revenge tbh. If there's a few of you, surely it wouldn't be difficult to wipe them out without the use of a deathmatch?

This is exactly why I stopped accepting 1v1's. They were fun until I got abused by this trick a few times.

 

OT: It is a dick move but you should do as you please in freeroam, everyone else does.

Entered a 1 on 1 fight before with some guy. My bodyguard and his mate drove by in a karuma and killed him over and over. Poor [email protected] never stood a chance =)

Not to stray from topic, but this reminds me of something I thought I noticed recently - when I've been involved in 1v1 deathmatches, other player blips have still been on my mini-map. o.O

 

Anyways, if someone is being a complete douche, all sportsmanship (or whatever you want to call it) goes straight out of the window for me. I basically use it as an excuse to use them for boosting my K/D by a few tenths.

There's also the fact that I never challenge anybody to 1v1 - pretty much every 1v1 I've been in has been due to a challenge from the other player and I could probably count my 1v1 losses on one hand. Honestly, I only remember losing maybe two 1v1 deathmatches. My point is that I generally find that the players who initiate 1v1s are douchebags in the first place anyway, or at least they feel like they have some sort of point to prove, and I'll only bother accepting if I feel like I need to teach them a lesson.

Those are the types of player I employ this tactic with. Very weird you see everyone's blips. Anyone else experienced that?

The point is that using the 1v1 leaves them completely blind. It's an extra measure that takes 2 seconds to do and increases the efficiency of the slaughter. I'm all about efficient slaughter.

apparently defending yourself is always a dick move, when tweakers want to run me over and I dodge out of the way and not let them, then throw a sticky on their car and blow them up, I'm apparently a dick for doing this.

 

If I get gunned down, then follow the random and gun them down several times, average 3 times to teach them not to f*ck with me, I'm a dick for doing that to.

 

When I help a random rob a store, let them keep the cash because hell I'm rich, then they blow my car up, and then I torch their ass, I'm a dick for doing this also.

 

So yes, by that logic, it is a dick move, it's always a dick move apparently.

If you already have multiple people with you I don't really see the point. Easy enough to dominate people without blips hidden when it's multiples against one.

It's a troll tactic to combat trolls. I thought the OP was pretty clear about that. It's not a tactic I use on any old player, just someone who's particularly worthy of a spanking. Also note that it can be used with just 2 players, and neither of you ever die. It just adds to the anger factor that the troll faces.
