This is pissing me off, damn near every enter able interior I know of has be closed off (less then a handful remain open). Why was it a problem that players could go inside a building, really what is so game-breaking about it that they removed legitimately enter able interiors, such as the police HQ.

It might affect performance. It seems like since they closed of the police station, textures have loaded faster. Was driving over a lot of invisible streets before then.

Um, what? That's utterly ridiculous. It isn't like your game doesn't load the textures, they're still there, you just can't get inside because they've stuck a barrier on it.

Placebo effect on your part, I assure you.

OT: It's dumb as f*ck, but there's really no logical reasoning behind it as far as I can tell.

When you actually worked on a 3D gaming engine and know what things like memory, occlusion, etc., come back to me then ok pumpkin?

Not familiar with R* gaming engine, so just speculation on my part.

What was so special about the police station anyway? 2 or 3 floors, some desks and cops. Stupid to moan about something that was technically pointless to have except for the heist setup.

Well it cannot have anything to do with performance. They have not removed any interiors. They are still fully modeled in game. The doors are just locked.

the Police Station got closed for a very legit reason. Players on PC were apparently using the Police Station to do some money glitch, making it so Rockstar had no choice but to patch it. had those idiots just played the game without having to cheat then the Police Station would probably still be open.

Someone didn't play GTAIV online it seems. The police station was one of the few places in GTA Online where one could of a massive 30+ minute shoutout and it was one of the very few defendable places on the map you could hide in when you had a bounty, plus it added to the game.

Nah, couldn't play GTA IV online at the time. My internet was worse than worse can get :p

The interiors are still there, just not accessible. The game not loading textures is more likely to be your console not keeping up. Used to happen to me a lot on teh 360, only very rarely does it happen on the Xbone.

Please share what it is your smoking, there was never a Police Station Money Glitch(hell I even double checked for one too), I bet they only patched it because it was "unfair" to the CoD rejects that play this game that are to dumb to understand that there is a underground tunnel (one from the jewelry store heist) and call people in said tunnel a hacker cause they can't see them, must less figure out how to get in to the police station.

It was cool having it open but I guess having certain things only available in missions and heists stops them from getting stale too quickly.

Because it was glorious. Unbelievably fun to hide in there for bounties. Watching people at the front door REPEATEDLY try to run into it figuring out how to get in was comedy gold. If you're a little creative with it, it's great fun. Also fun having people try to storm the place once they actually figured out how to get in.

But yeah, watching people trying to figure out how to get in was often ab-so-lutely freaking priceless.

The closing of the police station is probably the most angry I've been with R* and I've been upset by many of the idiotic choices made (especially the message that tells the entire lobby you're off-radar.)

This game lacks a lot of stuff, especially in single player. Rockstar gave us an unfinished game.

see that irritates me. Just like how you and I need to wait to call our own PV for some timer because R* couldn't properly patch some glitch.

I'm on PC, I didn't glitch money with a police station or any other glitch R* left to exploit. If they can't fix the problem they damn well shouldn't just hinder all players just to irritate a handful (a giants hand) of cheating players.

The interiors that still exist could be used for many reasons but since some players cheat we can't even go in them? That doesn't make much sense to me, neither does waiting for my mechanic to diver a car that I own and pay him to deliver. Know what I mean?

Some nice assumptions you got there, bro. Irrelevant, as you did a stellar job of showcasing that you don't have a clue what you're talking about. Other people have pointed out (as did I), the door is just locked. The interiors still load, with full textures, lighting etc still being rendered.

Your attempt at condescension makes the fact that you're clueless all the more delicious. Now hush, adults are talking.

OT: The only decent interior I know of that's still open is the Pacific Standard bank. That's pretty sweet for luring people in if you have a bounty. Awesome place for shoot outs.

LOL. Did R* take a key and "lock" the door? Bro, your ignorance of how gaming engines (especially older gen) works is obvious.

You know, now I'm intrigued if that door actually has a lock on it. I'll go check and tell you.

Would you have preferred if I'd said they'd clipped the door?

Don't care, I'm done with you. You're an angry little child and have no interest in a proper discussion. Have fun, but I'm not stooping to your level.

Really cool place for shootouts, i usually put prox's /stickys by the two entrances. And it's a shame we don't have interior's like the police station. It's pointless to lock them, so much fun can be made if you have enough creativity.

Coincidence that the game with potentially one of the highest potential player counts has a lot of discovered glitches? I don't think so. You can say that all you want but it doesn't change sh*t and the fact that there will always be glitches and bugs in games, but no other game has a persistent progression like this as well as not banning people for exploiting. If Rockstar was aggressive on banning people it would also deter this kind of sh*t too but they keep people around because they're all potential customers.

There should be harsher consequences for breaking the rules and they should make examples of people it won't be tolerated.

If it affects the performance having it opened them why not have it like apartments/garages? I'm sure that wouldn't be too bad.

It might affect performance. It seems like since they closed of the police station, textures have loaded faster. Was driving over a lot of invisible streets before then.

They load when you open the door and some details when you walk inside them, however I think most assets of the police station are always loaded.

To me it seems like they locked the police station because there weren't any NPCs inside them an maybe they didn't want it to feel lifeless.

It's not our fault either they didn't protect their product before release or even after. I don't support cheaters but back in the day it seemed devs loved feedback from players that found bugs / exploits so the devs could fix them. Now it seems the legit players are supposed to police the servers reporting the people that found game breaking bugs, so the devs can add scripts to punish the legit players and annoy the players that found / exploit the bug. I'm just a little confused how that helps fix the problems we continue to see, doesn't seem to be stopping any exloits so far.

The police station still retains the interiors. Sometimes when I have rewards on me, I like to go in and kill the attackers
