Gijsjuh
Hi there, I have bought GTA 4 on my pc a few years ago, when i installed it on my laptop, it couldn't run it. So now i have got a better pc, not a gaming monster or something like that, but it should get the job done. When i went to systemrequirementslab, it said i could run it on minimum and on recommended, so installed the game on my pc, and when i runned it, all settings were automaticly set on high. But when i started the game itself, it lagged very much. I tried putting the graphics on the lowest, but that didn't help. These are my specs: CPU: AMD A6-6400K Dual Core 3,9 GHZ (can overclock to 4,2 GHZ) GPU: AMD Radeon R7 250 2GB GDDR3 (from 1080MHZ to 1200MHZ) RAM: 8GB Crucial Balistix I hope you guys can help me with this! cryptorelic
Downgrade to patch version 1.0.4.0 from 1.0.7.0 and you will be fine. Grab the downgrade patch here: http://www.thegtaplace.com/downloads/f4249-gta-iv-pc-patch-v1040 Patch Version 1.0.4.0 is doing much better in performance, while 1.0.7.0 has better looking graphics. I'm using the 1.0.4.0 myself and i'm very satisfied with the output.

ILoveTrolling
Tinker around with the game settings. Or try force closing all other programs in the Task Manager

cryptorelic
No i mean the release check thingy doesn't work, can't do anything with it right now. You need to manually activate your copy. Follow the steps the SecuROM program is giving you. At the end, download the .exe file from the manual activation page, drag it on your desktop and execute it. Your game should be ready to start now. Unhingedlime
Try Commandline, create a file called "commandline.txt" in the game directory and insert these commands. -availablevidmem-norestrictions-nomemrestrict-percentvidmem 100-noprecache-novblank paste and save. hope this helps EDIT : also use the 1.0.4.0 patch if you are an ENB user, if you are not i suggest you download 1.0.7.0.
