Thoughts on a new tank DLC?

I don't think Rstar will be happy until everyone is wearing tactical armour, driving a tank and packing enough munitions to single handedly take down a mexican drug cartel. But hey this game is for the kids so what the hell.

If people want military content they could play the plethora of other games available that specialise in this area. Just a suggestion

 

I know we're all GTA fans, but every one of those games would be better at replicating real-world weapons and combat scenarios than any Freeroam battle on Online could.

 

I'd be fine with more Military content if R* offered 'Friendly', 'Free-roam (as it currently stands)', and 'Warzone' lobbies, so players can 'opt in' to combat involving military-grade hardware.

Marshall Rules DLC confirmed, all NPCs can now defend themselves and the authorities have access to all the same military gear as players. It's gonna be a blast! A laggy laggy blast!

 

Here's the new and improved expandable Pegasus list to easily access all the new WW2 content

...makes sense, this must be close to the mid-life of this game.

 

As you can probably tell i'm strongly opposed to owning more military vehicles in GTA, i'm fortunate enough to play ArmA to sooth those needs, i'm pretty sure you all have a similar game to play as soldiers. We have enough military gear in GTA already, i'd rather see the NPCs start responding with their own tanks before adding more OP vehicles for players. The whole game is changing with the heist vehicles addition, not in a good way imo. Not because I hate camo and armor, because the game can't handle all these explosions online properly and too many players to destroy everything which just kills the challenge, especially in missions.

 

We're all free to want what we want, I just don't think GTAO is ready for more explosions. Maybe if we ever use dedicated servers i'd agree.

that being said, what you propose is more of a WW2 dlc....and though thats much better i still do not know for sure if thats something we realy need.

if its done a bit realistic and we follow youre idea of what kind of vehicles it woud contain we woud only get new armed things that are insignificant and obsolete compared with the things we already have.

 

also if you go towards the millitary ww2 dlc theme youre lack of imagenation is disturbing.

we do not have a bomber plane, a plane with a moving turret, a self propelled mortar, an amphibious vehicle of any kind, an anti tank rifle more powerfull then the current sniper rifle but with iron sights, a flametrower, a bolt-action iron sight rifle, a powerfull semi-automatic rifle based on something that fires a 7.62mm caliber/.300 cal rifle sized round, a revolver, or even something harmless yet cool like this:

 

 

on top of that, we have a wishlist tread.....use it.

I think there´s enough military vehicles already in game,but I would like STG 44,since all of the other assault rifles look modern and tactical (even AK),they could give us one classic looking assault rifle.

 

The StG44 is interesting. If you ask someone who's into gun history, everyone knows it because it was THE assault rifle. If you ask a random person, he'll most likely ask if that's an AK.

As much as I love the Battlefield franchise (own all of them) I am also in the group of players who don't really want more military gear in this game. I mean maybe after a long while yes, MAYBE!

 

I would prefer to see some fresher ideas in gta and military gear is another 'cosmetics' to me and yes that's along with more cars..NO! More property...NO! I just don't see how anything like this gets us away from the problem of the game currently. GTA IS A GRIND FEST RIGHT NOW!

 

I want something that adds a different dimension to GTA. I mean why not open the arena and have some extreme sports kinda stuff? We have monster trucks right? We could have destruction derby too FFS! Motocross stuff in the arena would be nice aswell.

 

I see players using there imagination on BMX's online and some videos on YouTube so why not add something for them? Ability to customize bikes and maybe better bike controls with ability to do a couple tricks even if just basic ones. What about adding skateboards into it aswell? We have skateparks for what?

 

And why not add things for crews? Like territory wars and stuff like that where if u own certain territory u gain money for your crew and it gets divided among crew members. What about owning cash generating properties that crews could fight over as well or even u could own them as individual players.

 

I have so much to add to this post but will have to do it later as going out now so no more time lol.

You should probably make a thread about that bike thing, and stunting in general. "The Stuntman DLC". Better bike physics, airborne tricks (IDK much about BMXs, but I sure would like Superman on the motorbikes).

I doubt there's enough space in this game to tolerate two balanced and distinct MBTs, let alone a huge bunch of AFVs.

 

Hell, I don't even think this game can have an M2 Bradley and a Stryker at the same time and make them properly balanced and distinct. At the absolute most this game can handle one vehicle in every class.

People who say gta online having military stuff is copying COD/Battlefield seem to forget gta had all of it first. San Andreas had everything this gta had. Vice City and the old PS2 gtas had tanks, and the Hunter (Apache). I remember in that really old London gta driving around in the Royal Pain (a golden tank).

 

Fair enough if people are just bored of it, but I don't think it has anything to do with copying military games.

Oftentimes times the boom, boom, boom is hacker griefers griefing other hacker griefers, but as often it's legit non-hacking griefers blow each other and others up. Rockstar needs to show love to the armoured vehicle griefer.

Tank would be fine, if only there weren't suicidal cops (oh yeah co-ax and turret MG would be pretty bitchin too). Its stupid I have to delicately drive my tank around police cars.

 

Fun tank fact for the day: if you run over someone's expensive T20 and explode it, you don't pay the insurance, I assume the other player did lol.

 

The key is not to press the gas when you're on top of their car. I think.
