I can only get 41 on the Rifle range, Level 7 on the ambulence, and can't even win in 4 in the hot ring. Please help me anyone. I know on the ambulence to wait until the time is under 20 seconds and it will give you a lot of time, but its not helping me that much! Please help!!! Purple9 Posted January 18, 2003 Share Posted January 18, 2003 I know there's an "Ambulance Guide" pinned in the gta3 gameplay section - I'm sure this will help In the hotring race my best strategy is to try and keep your car in good nick until half-way through the race (6 laps) until you get a pit-stop...and keep aneye out for vehicles that have spun out Don't waste bullets in the rifle range; make all bullets count; try for the high scoring targets...ya know - one at back and middle. Candysuxxx Posted January 18, 2003 Share Posted January 18, 2003 I suck at the ambulance My only tip for the hotring is to go full pelt on the straights and dont brake on the corners just eas off the gas, stay away from the other craaaazy cars and only pit stop if absoulutely necessary All basics - nuthin new Oh and the shooting range...there was a post just a few days ago - search for it. MAD DOG STEEL Posted January 18, 2003 Share Posted January 18, 2003 best thing with ambulance missions is to take your time - if you know the city well enough then you should be able to find the best shortcuts, and therefore never be short of time. the ambulance missions on Vice are a piece of piss compared to GTA3 because in GTA3 you had gangs shooting at you with shotguns all over the place!! Prodigy. Posted January 18, 2003 Share Posted January 18, 2003 I cant help with ambulance..but I have never gotten worse then 2nd in hot ring. Heres how. When you start the race, dont go. Let the cars get a little bit ahead of you. They will all go crazy, and you will escape in about 7th or 8th place. Continue going around the ring as fast as you can, and take a pit stop once your health gets below 1/4th whole health. After the 5th or 6th lap, take NO pit stops, and stay away from the wreckage areas the best you can. You will climb to the top slowly, because everyone else is a horrible driver and will spin out. hunter2112 Posted January 20, 2003 Share Posted January 20, 2003 For the Ambulance, use the southern most hospital on the first island (already mentioned I know) and take your time as well, they do give you enought time as long as you don't wipe out a lot. (also mentioned before) Took me close to an hour but was a pretty easy going hour. Also, use the siren. You can generally direct traffic a little with it. Cars coming towards you stop, ones you come up behind move out of the way depending on with side you come up on (if you're at the right rear corner, they pull off to the left) The siren doesn't alway work but usually will and it made a big diff for me. Most important is to not rush as you'll only wipe out, trash the ambulance or accidentallty kill one of the patients. Rifle Range: ya got me I'm still stuck there as well Hotring: avoid accidents as much as possible (of course) but if you can't avoid, plow riht through, less chance of spinning out if you hit it head on then if you're trying to swerve around. -Davo Posted January 25, 2003 Share Posted January 25, 2003 or the hotring, stay to the right, on the outer part of the ring, most of the cars crash there and then smash to the middle, then the left where the pile ups are, i got this first go. for the riffle range, i did this last nite, and it took me HOURS AND HOURS i used the analog control stick to move in a flowing motion, not jerking it, and i only took out the 2 pointer and the 3 pointer very fast, try to NOT miss, you need 95% accuracy to get 45 dont go for the 1 pointer, its a waste of bullets, go for its body, but leave the head. by the time you have 30 points, you should have about 30 seconds left on your clock. if you have less you'r taking too long. i find vice point to be easyest in ambo missions,they're all on the beach and the beach is close to the hospital. only prob is they are also near the film studio.
