If you were to put CJ, Tommy, and Claude against Michael, Franklin, and Trevor, the 3D protagonists will win without a doubt. And Trevor winning against Tommy, uh, no. Compare the two, look at Tommy, he's smart and knows what he's doing, Trevor is just an idiot. So Michael, Franklin, and Trevor have no chances against the older GTA protagonists.

That is true. Whoever said about Ending C being "cannon"? Even if it is, there was still the option to kill Michael or Franklin in the first place.

Niko Bellic for sure. TECHNIQUE > STRENGTH anyday.

ps. Wei Shen would beat every open-world protagonist in a hand to hand combat (except for Batman)

Luis Vs Franklin

Technique over Strength anyday.

Kids these days, the bigger the muscles or the more psychotic you are makes the better fighter. Sure the bigger the muscles = more power, but if the person does not know how to use that weight/strength and apply that with footwork to create power, then their strength becomes no use. Therefore Luis wins without a doubt. He's got speed, agility, stamina, strength, probably conditioning due to constant fighting and the most important, technique.

• Luis has speed, has fighting skills, has resilience to pain (not canon though he is a fighter and fighters are tough due to constant conditioning).

• Franklin has more muscle mass, yet he is slow.

Luis wins, as he could dodge the sh*tty punches thrown by Franklin and knock him out with a side-kick to the head.

NIKO and LUIS could take TREV individually. Anger gives people durability but still technique conquers all. I see Niko and Luis as Royce Gracie's, being the peeps that can use skill to take down anyone who is stronger and bigger than them.

• Trevor is like a tank, very very durable. His shots are lethal blows and/ or even knockouts but he is slow to reload.
• Niko and Luis are like adder's with 100% armour and with a minigun on top. They have great conditioning, they are very agile, very fast. They punch fast however, their shots may take longer to take down a tank. But they can maneuver all over it without getting hit and as a result the tank goes down with a lot of bullet holes.

Niko Bellic would win in both H2H and when shooting. In relation to H2H combat, I don't really give a damn about the whole army trained thing because I know any UFC Fighter can beat up any Navy Seal or SAS soldier, but nevertheless Niko displays he is a power puncher and has Krav Maga skills. With the shooting I'd say Niko would have the most experience as he started as a child and was trained which would of improved on those skills and hes an accurate shooting as shown when saving Roman in, "Hostile Negotiation". Tommy has a chance in winning with his fast power side kicks.

Luis is actually considerably a better hand to hand fighter than Niko. Me, Thelema93 and the AmericanAlpha, all experienced fighters well I assume those guys are for their knowledge in martial arts, have come to a conclusion that Luis would beat Niko but it would be a tough fight for Luis.

Niko does have "red army sh*t" but Luis has got that MMA type sh*t. Niko is canonically a krav maga fighter, whereas Luis canonically has a mixed variation of styles with the spinning backfist shown in his trailer and how he disarms a guy with a front kick and uses his back right foot to gain momentum in order to knock the Triad leader out.

Trevor does have the potential to beat both Luis and Niko up. He has like Mike Tyson knockout power, but one thing he doesn't have like Mike Tyson is his speed. Trevor is a slow puncher and makes it easy for Niko or Luis to parry/counter Trevor and beat him. Trevor may have the more durability but a tank can go down with enough bullet holes. And as someone described Floyd Mayweather (I absolutely hate this fighter), "You can't beat him if you can't hit him". Niko and Luis are agile, skillful and fast and also have great conditioning.

Yeah, I can see that happening. I had to find a vid to get a proper perspective. Tommy V's fast at kicking, almost Bruce Lee like, then again Lee slowed down his kicks for his movies I wonder what he's like full speed. Tommy comes second as fist-fighter.

Trevor must of been so depressed. It wouldn't of been anger for his reasons to drive away but his sadness. Abandoned Dad, unseen Mum, back stab of Michael and the lost of Franklin. He felt like he trusted Franklin. Trevor must of felt like he got punched in the gut. Poor Trev.

If we are talking about a good ol' hand to hand combat, than Niko Bellic would defeat all three of GTA V's trio, easily. Franklin would give Niko the most headaches because he is young and in great shape but he couldn't defeat Niko. Niko is a deadly martial artist (Krav Maga) and an ice cold killer.

 

How would the trio compare with other protags is anyone's guess.
