Gold Paint Jobs FREE?

I'm on PS3, I went to customize my new T20 and saw that the primary and secondary paints jobs "Brushed Gold and Pure Gold" are FREE.

They should be if you've done 50 Heist finales.

All of the classes of chrome rims can be made free by completing something a certain number of times.

The downside is that putting them on lowers the value of your car. If the wheels are free then you've replace the existing rims, that all have some value to ones that are worth $0. If you paid to put chrome rims on a car and later unlock them so they are free, that's unrecoverable value lost.

Good info, thanks. I never plan on selling my T20 so lowering the value doesnt bother me. I never heard about the 50 heist finales thing tho. But when I installed the free chrome rims and went back to view the selection, they all had their price tag. Can you clarify the 50 finales thing? I can't find anything about that anywhere.

Go to the Social Club page and look under Awards and then Rewards under that.

It will show you all the unlockable tattoos, shirts, and free chrome rims and your progress toward them.

I can confirm that gold paint jobs are free however its not a glitch its a present. We can add it to our cars but if we sell the cars afterwards we don't get any extra money .

It's just another money grabbing scheme. Everybody changes their paint. Next Monday everybody is tired of all gold everything except Auric Goldfinger... spend a quarter million changing all their cars back. Lol C*

T20 is sex in Black n Gold. Only other V i have that looks decent in Gold primary has surprisingly been the Jester. Too obnoxious for a V i use to rumble though.

On my way to LSC right now, I love Gold paint. it will NOT AFFECT the cars value, so if u had a previous color with a resell value of $12500 (Chrome for example) it will retain the same value and it is only visually different. Just tested it now.

 

My bought Gold paint jobs on my cars still retain its return value of $25k.
