I'm also sure that almost everyone think that the $ was still well spent, despite... Most of the graphics are great, the map is really huge (and depicts LA well enough imho) mainly if including underwater (underwater hatters or Thalassophobia apart), though some things could surely be better (SP longevity-mini missions, SP dlcs, character's development, etc...). Can I just suggest some pinned thread stating something like "Why I hate GTA V", "GTA V sucks" or even "Before playing GTA V, while someones makes me do it with a gun pointed on my head, I need morphine (poll with Yes or No)". All hatters/lovers/fanboys should gather there. 12y GTAO's users love it. Kids, shame on your parents! The notion that anyone would be butthurt that GTA V has sold more than previous GTAs is laughable. As for the question GTA V simply lacks a decent assortment of crime activities. And marjority of the players are happy with their new style and ideas. Besides, going back to the GTA IV style of things, (When the only focus is it's campaign and that's about really it) would not fix anything. It'll make it worse, for the most of us. GTA IV is the biggest letdown in the entire series, and you all know it. Everyone around the internet, was making a bunch of hate threads about it (even more than GTA V) when it was released. This was a HUGE factor in making GTA feel like a crime game. Another thing is that, in previous games you felt as if the protags weren't the only criminals. Especially in IV, where you felt that Niko was just a tiny speck in the vast criminal network of LC. In V the three protags are like 'Too big for da police'. Everything they plan goes well wuithout any problem. Feels like these three are the only criminals in Los Santos. Anyone else felt like this playing V? WOW. Vigilante? That really brings me back. I'd make a game with Detroit, Chicago, St. Louis, Memphis, and a midwest wanna-be east coast city in there (I guess Detroit falls in there). It would be fun. You'd have the city and in the middle of nowhere environments. Cornfield deathmatches would be hilarious. Also, I've always envisioned an upper NE deathmatch in the forest; that would be sick - in ME, VT, NH, up state NY. Damn, that would be awesome. Is it because IV doesn't have many features from any list of 3D era games that will make IV look the same, or biggest as in letdown for what it is, i.e. unique and different than rehashing seen from V with Online? I gotta give IV credit, at least puts itself over other GTAs on its own strengths and introduced newly built ideas in that already good list of GTA games. V struggles for its own identity to stand out different and that's the biggest letdown for a title that had so much potential but doesn't succeed nowhere in satisfying the way IV did despite all the gripes. The episodes make IV even more enjoyable with different stories, and characters. It's easier to tolerate a unique game if you do not consider it as a letdown like many people did during release ( incl. myself ), but not something like V that intentionally overlooked its own potential for the other, i.e., Online. Without Online you won't even bother to play V. I can guarantee that. You would rather play IV instead. Online is what V is all about for many. Plain and simple.
