...They are fine for actual gameplay in heists and missions but have a constant 'look at me' needy complex.

No sooner have you put your disc in to load GTA they are inviting you to a party, you don't accept within 10 seconds another invite and so it goes on until you do eventually join the party.

When you do join all you get is:

"why didn't you accept straight away"

"quick come to my apartment I want to show you my cars"

"Help me with my objectives and help me kill (insert gamertag)"

"Look at my garage, nice isn't it, what should I buy next?"

"Can I have a ride in your car"

"You said you would be on line at xxxx"

FFS, it is a game, find some REAL friends. I don't care about your new T20 etc, I have one as well as millions of other people, it is nothing special just to you.

Need to set my options to not show I am on line from now on. Sometimes Ijust wanna do my own sh*t and I do have other people I play with not just a few.

Exactly. Chill out. As "loser-ish" as it sounds, online friends are the only real friends some people have. Give in, and be kind. I mean really, is it THAT much of a burden?

most of my friends onm y psn account are from GTA, they mainly consist of people ive joined randomly through quick join, and stuck with doing missions with them for hours because we work together good, and worked as a solid team, other than that we dont really speak, there are a couple which i would dare call real internet friends, we message from time to time, asking eachother how we feel about new updates and whatnot...

To me, it seems like you're the kind of person that thinks: "Well, I'll just ignore him. He'll take the hint."
Look, man: If you have a problem, just say so. People can't read your mind! If you can't interact with him that day, just message him: "Sry man, I don't have time today!". If he genuinely gets on your nerves then delete him from your list (and maybe tell him: "Sry, this isn't working out for me!"). If he keeps messaging you afterwards, there's a ignore list.
I also don't have time for everybody, everyday. The day only has 24 hours. All I'm trying to say is: Don't take people for granted, because you'll end up alone quicker than you think...

The people I add through GTA are just so my crew can have a 4th for heists...

The people that add me through GTA want me to be their best man at their Wedding.

i dont have that issue...

i have only a handful of people on my list.

those that make it to my list are not annoying nor attention whore.

they are helpful, willing to help, pretty much professional gta players.

It's cowardly to not be honest with somebody. If they are too demanding of your time/attention just say, " We can play later but I gotta do this." or "I was planning on doing X, I'll txt you later." Good natured annoying people are still good natured. No reason to offend them.

I had a player that we did missions a few times. He seemed ok, certainly not annoying me but one heist he went full rambotard. I quit the job, msg'd him that I didn't appreciate him f*cking up the job and not doing his job and deleted him as a friend. He msg'd me days later, hat in hand, asking why. I told him, nothing personal since i don't really know you. I play a different way, sorry if that seems harsh. He thanked me for being honest.

Being honest is never the wrong thing to do. Ever.

DarkSavageDeathlyCloud

some idiot of level 40 killed me and stole my hydra

fair to say he is only a contact for grieving from now.

then there is a douche that never wanted to listen to advice after like a month and now he finaly wears a heavy utility vest and sh*t...hell im trowing him out now, before he adds my heist friends as contacts because he does not deserve me(have to note he is not only stupid on heists, he is also slightly homophobic)(voila, done, byebye useless turd)

further i have several friends that added me to get easier legit money

though quite some are gratefull most of them never even said tnx

in worst case, they actualy are also a fail on heists and have a short span of attention

the people that i added and thought i was a modder.....they were all trown out a month ago because of being lazzy and a total waste of space on my friendlist

Before the Billionaire Era, I brought a tank that I legitimately earned. Took it out for a spin and drove past a few randoms (didn't kill them) just to see their reactions. Then a "friend" who we never talk with but just accepted a random friend request drove by and saw my tank.

Then started the party invites...

-CAN I DRIVE YOUR TANK?

-WANNA SEE MY sh*tTY CARS?

-LETS RACE 99 LAPS OF CRIMINAL RECORDS IN BICYCLES!

-QUIT PLAYING BLACK OPS II WITH YOUR REAL FRIENDS AND PLAY GTA WITH ME!

It's like the Roman Bellic of Xbox Live.

Soran Is On

Worry about yourself. There can be only one #1.

It's ok to decline friendships. There f*cked up people that will drag you down with them. Even in Los santos.

How hard is it to just say you are busy or in the mood to play alone? I have a long list of friends from GTA, I can't play with them all every time I get on. When I have multiples inviting me to a heist or something I just let them know "sorry, I'm already helping someone else". Never had any of my friends have problem with it yet...

It also helps not to add every single name you come across "just 'cause". I accept friend requests from people I enjoyed playing with.

Need to set my options to not show I am on line from now on.

You don't need to do that... Actually it's a lot simpler: block, delete and move on.

Oh yeah, that's definitely me...

I'm a car guy, and none of my friends give two sh*ts.

It sucks that none of my car enthusiast friends play GTA...

On another note, I do have another friend who can get on my nerves sometimes.

Usually because he's always hungry for blood.

"Hey, get on my Insurgent gun!"

"Hey, be my Technical gunner!"

"Lets kill people with my Valkyrie!"

"Spawn your Hydra and lets strafe people!"

"Get your Savage and cover mine!"

"Grab the Rhino and lets roll through the city!"

I don't know why he loves being such a dick in public lobbies...

Though, I will gladly help him mercilessly chase and harass instigators.

Usually I can redirect his blood-lust at deserving targets rather than innocents.

Makes for some fantastic game sessions.

I only hang with people that are fun to hang out with.

After I reached my friend cap limit, you have to meet ONE of these

1-Don't be a kid,if you are then I expect you to be mature(You also can't be a randumb)

2-Your not a randumb

3-You have a RSC profile/GTAF profile

4-You are from my crew

5-I expect you to be kind and sincere,i'm not going to be your butler

6-You have a mic,but you're not a randumb

Thats about it,if you don't qualify and start bugging me about ''Accept me'',then expect to be on my Block List ;)

I usually just ignore them. And then they'll delete me. Problem solved.

I still feel sad somehow I've lost a couple of friends already :'(

gee man. I am such a friend and I have such friends. like I built a crew out of such people. I have a great friend online due to this attitude, yeah i am not the pesky kinds, but i am always offering suggestions on what to do which often involves asking someone to take the gun or call for backup etc. How else do you plan on making friends. you are the same lot who would then complain '' ayy lmao just shoot every1 ppl r nt 2 b tru$ted'' IMO u r the puss for not being able to say a straight no. and sorry if I sound hostile :):)

...

I get a kick out of helping friends with objectives, or to team up on some random(s)! If you're busy, just say so, no skin off anybody else's nose.

if you think the OP is the problem, then you have never dealt with this people before.

i used to have a family friend that i couldn't just delete, and i know for a fact he was an awful person and he did everything the OP mentioned.

and they are almost always losing some fight with a random person and expect you to come in and help them.

I've had a couple friends like this. One of them deleted me because one day I was playing with a few of my other friends instead of them. But you have to be nice to these types of people, you may be the only person they actually talk to online.
