PSA: Progen T20 broken on last gen

Must be sporadic. Currently on PS3 with no handling issues. My T20 handles better than my Osiris.

As far as I can tell, there is some understeer in the t20 on ps3. Nothing I wasn't expecting though. It's a RWD super car with some serious power. It's going to be hard to drive.

It's AWD with 70/30 R/F split.

 

I'm on 360 and mine drives and handles very well. It seems to have an unbelievable amount of traction. The only issue is trying to do burnout spins (i.e. holding both triggers while turning the left stick), where it turns really, really slowly. So, something is indeed amiss, however small it may be.

I'm not as much an expert as some people here, but when I tested my T20 around a track, I managed to consistently get better lap times than my Osiris (both being fully modded). It felt quicker than the Osiris but less predictable and it didn't stick as much to the road. I didn't feel any problem whatsoever.

I have no problem driving the T20. I handles just fine and to be honest i think it handles better than the Osiris. Oh and no sh*t it sucks off road, it's a super for crying out loud.

This is likely normal, as I felt this on next gen as well, the car drifts because of too much power .. that's like what you experiencing and not that it is broken.

I have PS3 and I've put about 200 miles on the T20 I bet. Never have I made a mistake because of the handling, it's accurate and agile and quick. The steering is flawless and well balanced.

 

Why does it understeer for you? It's simple really. Because YOU don't know how to drive. Do you go into corners full throttle, not braking or braking too early or too late? How are you experiencing understeer? How in the f*ck are you experiencing understeer? With this thing? Are you serious? Here's a tip, learn how to drive.

 

I swear, if the handling get's "patched" because of your daft driving skills, you won't hear the end of it from me. I swear, the funnest cars in this game seem to be getting a lot of hate because people like you can't handle cars that actually feel like cars, it seems. Nobody's going to hold your hand this time. You paid for it, learn how to use it.

I wonder how many of you guys saying yours isn't broken actually have some decent lap times to compare. I'm not saying I'm Schumacher, but if some WR holders saying they miss 4 seconds a lap on LG, and beat records on NG, than my opinion is something IS wrong here.

 

I won't test it myself, cause I don't play LG anymore, but more because I'm already more than 4 seconds slower compared to Broughy for example.

It isn't broken. Lap times only matter when the driver is good and unfortunately good drivers are hard to find with this game. I'm not trying to toot my own horn but I've pretty much mastered the driving in this game and IV. I'm a relatively relaxed driver but I know how to drive hard and rarely ever crash when I do. I've seen how these people drive. They swerve all over the road and speed speed speed and don't brake and just crash all over the place. Then they cry "it understeers/oversteers" too much when they fly into a corner improperly.

I agree. The T20 feels extremely balanced. It is lightning quick, smooth as butter, and dutifully turns in without spinning out at virtually any speed. Personally, I found the Osiris to be way more understeer'y, to the point where it was putting me off. Hence why I held off on it.

Its not just RT > LT > RT. To be a top racer, you need to know your brake points, how mcuh to brake, when to throttle coming out of turns, and where you need to be at to maximize your speed going into turns.

 

There are a lot of good racers who know RT > LT > RT, but the great ones learn more than that.

Anything Rockstar does to make the driving in this game a little more realistic is fine with me. A supercar based on a McLaren or a Lambo or a Ferrari or whatever should not be able to hill climb or be any use whatsoever off road.

I said nothing about throttling and turning in at the same time. That isn't my driving style. I either brake, or let off the throttle (where possible) into the apex, try and carry the speed, then accelerate out. I use racing lines as much as possible, depending on traffic. In my experience, the T20 feels better through the corners than the Osiris.
