I never received any money from anyone, all the money I've spent is totally legit. In fact I never encountered any modder/hacker, except one day where I had a clone of my character (but with a different skin and hair color) standing behind me.

Yes back in the days if yore. I had just logged in to see someone with a bounty drive by I gave chase murdered them and got over 600mil. Nowadays I hear of money glitches every now and then but haven't took to many up since I enjoy things the normal grind but damn it would be enjoyable to have cash like that.

Yep. I just got lucky last week and someone gave me a metric f*ck-ton of money. I already had all the things I wanted, so I just turned the cash into two garages full of T20 bonds and bought the Gold Luxor and Swift because why the f*ck not? It's pretty nice knowing I have a couple of "offshore accounts" for any future updates.

The amount of stupidity of these YT commenters are hilarious,some people are even giving out emails to random people on the internet so they can get ''monies''

I've never been given modded money, and I've been playing since day one of online. I'm sorta happy about it too. Sure it would be fun to mess around in the billionaire days buying everything i could and i was sorta jealous when my friends had millions and i was stuck with nothing for a while.

 

However, looking back, I am pleased that i don't have any modded money on my account, because the most fun I've had in this game was grinding Violent duct for money to buy my 400k appartment and Carbonizzare, and when I did the criminal mastermind challenge.

I'd rather play the game and have fun with it than being granted millions of fake dollars.

 

To be honest having a lot of money in this game has does nothing other than making you lose interest in this game quicker. For me personally there's no fun when there's no sense of accomplishment in it.

I never have but about a year ago, I discovered a duplication glitch that I used to glitch about 10 million. I ended up making the mistake of spending most of it on Pegasus vehicles.... I now have a long list of Pegasus vehicles.

And honestly, who didn't at least TRY the "dead hooker glitch" just because it was actually kinda cool.

 

Though I'd been following GTA 5 on YouTube since launch, somehow I missed this glitch--how was it done?

 

I got $60,000 one time. I freaked contacted Rockstar about it. They said they would take it off my account. But they never did. Oh well.

 

Similar story here; since then (at least on the PC), script kiddies are in almost every session, and I've been "gifted" millions at various times. Methinks R* Support is very weary of having to remove illegitimate money from accounts.

Yes tons and I have gifted people money too. I set a billion dollar bounty on someone during the DNS days. I would consider those billions as a christmas gift. I now have 41 million thanks to money bags sent from above.

You can't even mod new gen consoles.

Yes indeed the money is fake. My point is simply that it is more fun to play the game to make money than being given more money than you can ever spend and be stuck with no real incentive to play the game.

I can play the game and have fun without having to grind missions and wait for players to join a heist all day. It's called races, deathmatches, playing with friends and free roam. With all the millions I can spend it on anything and that's what makes it fun for me and many others. But people have a different mindset and I respect that.

I get more satisfaction from being able to buy anything I want and waste money in free roam wars/on ammo etc than from 'earning' the money. So yes.

 

Everyone has different preferences, if you like grinding for your money and it gives you a sense of superiority over me because you 'earned' your money then good for you. But if you get into a free roam battle with me, I will continue having fun even if I've destroyed your T20 a dozen times. You will have probably stopped having fun the first time you blow mine up.

I got it a long time ago on xbox360 when i was noob, 28 billions from a hacker, i bough everything i had with that money and still had plenty, but then R* fixed this and the money was all gone, i could not sell any vehicles, so the only things i really have from that money are my apartment and clothes.
