I'd much prefer a MkIV, like the one I drive, or earlier. The newer Golfs have gotten too tall and dumb looking, with exception of the VII.

I was under the impression the Compact was based on a 3rd/4th Gen Honda? The CRX in particular.

Anyway, it very faintly looks like a Golf, but I'm not buying it.

And even if it did look more like a MKV, as I said I don't like the MKVs all that much.

lel wut? Blista is mixture of Scirocco and Civic R. There is no MkV or MkIV anywhere in this car...

 

But it's far too narrow to be a Scirocco. There's almost no resemblance, especially in the rear end.

And while there isn't much MKV in it, I wasn't saying it looks anything like it.

My point was that there aren't any good Volkswagens in the game, the Blitsa being the absolute closest thing to a Golf...

 

Though, it looks quite like a MkVI.

I acutally think there are plenty of good VW's in the game. They are just all old school cars. Injection, Bifta, Surfer, and Kalahari.

While not exactly a classic (or is it?), the VW Golf Mk.1 was a pretty sweet car. Wouldn't mind having an old and a new version. Call it the "BF Jackalope" (as a play on VW Rabbit) or something.

I said good VWs. The BF Injection is a Beetle...

And it isn't even stock.

 

The Bifta isn't even a Volkswagen, unless you count the fact that its real life counterpart was often built on the Beetle's chassis.

So, null point seeing as I still don't like Beetles.

 

The Surfer isn't my idea of a good car either.

It isn't a bad car, but it isn't really a car in the sense that I want it to be. It's a van...

 

And the Kalahari is a Citroen...

Yes, it's kind of like a VW 181, but again... It's not much of a car, and more of a van.

I would say the second best selling car in the world is definitly a classic...

I would very much love to see a MKI, with that name and all.

 

 

But since we're looking specifically for classics, VW has made some rather nice cars in the past.

The Karmann Ghia for example.

 

 

Or the Squareback.

 

 

If ever there was a Station wagon I would buy. Well... I would only ever buy a German one.

Or the Type 3.

 

 

There's also the Type 4 and K70, but then you just start getting redundant.

Not to mention there are plenty of people who would argue that these cars are already in the game, or already have look-a-likes and that it would be pointless to add them, blah blah, give us more supercars...

1964-1974 Plymouth Barracuda? That's three body generations (64-66, 67-69 and 70-74). Something like the 64-66 or 67-69 Barracuda would be nice. But i'd like to see something like the 1968-70 AMC Javelin or the 1968-70 AMC AMX.

I'd love to see another take on an AMC. I think my tops would be the Marlin. I think the primary/secondary colors would translate really well for paint fans.

 

 

 

The Marlin is one of my favorites, especially the 1967 Marlin based on the Ambassador chassis. 1968-70 Rebel HT, or fastback looks nice as well.

Mate, I love classic cars and Sports Classics is easily my favourite class, but even I've had enough of them for a while.

 

I just want R* to release some regular low-end stuff - whether it be from previous games or completely new models.

I think R* can use this as a basis for the exterior look to get away from licensing issues. Just throw in a hood that fits the new shape of the car, change the aero kit a bit and boom, license-free Supra that most Supra fans would recognize.
